An unlucky charlatan meets a big shot who's turned over a new leaf. Instead of sparks flying, he gets pursued for years. After many twists and turns, he doesn't know whose trap he's fallen into. Will their missed connection remain a missed connection, or will they meet again?
A cheeky, weak exorcist immortal and a gentle, celibate, rational Ghost King.
Their personalities are more or less the same in their past and present lives. I'm writing them from the same mold.
The book above, How Can I Let Go, mentions that Meng Wen was reborn to repay a debt after being punished, while the Ghost King followed him because he couldn't bear to see him suffer.
"I searched the world for one person. For him, I risked my life and pressed forward at any cost. I made a deal with the judge of the underworld. His name had never appeared in the Book of Life and Death. So I made a deal with Heaven, taking charge of the affairs of the underworld in this land, for hundreds of years..."
The person the Ghost King had hoped for all those years had appeared.
"The dead should be reincarnated in time, but he never came. So the person I've always regarded as a god really is a god..."
