Synopsis:
Shina Mitsuki is a strange guy. That's what everyone who's met him says.
Of course, he thinks so too.
Ever since he was a child, he's been able to see things ordinary people can't. Constantly searching for somewhere to belong, he has subconsciously come to believe that he's a weirdo no one could ever accept.
After transferring schools and quitting clubs several times in middle school, Mitsuki gave up on fitting in and chose a high school in Miyagi Prefecture, far from Tokyo.
He planned to keep a low profile until graduation, but his extraordinary reflexes caught the attention of a mysterious, helpful boy at school, who sweet-talked and tricked him into joining the volleyball club.
"Shina, with reflexes that fast, joining our volleyball club is the obvious choice, right?"
"Oikawa-senpai, you've committed the crime of deceiving a new student."
"Heh heh. Joining our volleyball club was obviously a smart choice."
Iwaizumi Hajime clamped a hand over his childhood friend's mouth to stop his outrageous boasting. After thinking it over, he said, "Trashykawa was wrong to lie to you, but Shina really is suited to volleyball."
Listening to the whole group talk without considering his feelings, Shina Mitsuki thought they were bound to be disappointed in him. After all, nobody would want to spend long with a weirdo.
But the things he'd expected never happened. Instead, all kinds of color belonging to his new teammates gradually filled his life.
