A new barbecue stall opened downstairs from Zhan Xiyan's home.

The owner had black hair and green eyes, and was as handsome as a movie star.

Unfortunately...

His skewers were horrifyingly bad.

She took a bite of lamb and fell silent.

At last, she understood why the place was empty every day.

But strangely enough, she still went there every single day.

After all, the owner was a feast for the eyes, the place was quiet, and she could pet the dog while complaining about the bizarre boss who kept exploiting her.

Until one day, she discovered that the "stray dog" she fed every day actually belonged to the owner.

She grabbed him by the collar. "Pay up!"

The owner smiled, his eyes crinkling. "Sure."

Suddenly, her face turned red.

Gu Sheng had never met a girl like her before.

She stood up for strangers, crouched by the roadside to feed little animals, and wore headphones while muttering to herself, thinking no one could hear her as she cursed her boss, her clients, and life itself.

In fact, he heard every word she said.

Later, a bowl of steaming white rice porridge cured his fussy stomach.

And quietly healed the heart that had been adrift for years.

Then Gu Sheng's family came looking for him.

Zhan Xiyan looked at the young man clinging to Gu Sheng and sobbing uncontrollably, then held out her hand.

"Give me a million, and I'll let him go with you."

The young man's eyes lit up, and he immediately pulled out a check.

Gu Sheng: "..."

Later, Gu Sheng held the check in front of her and leaned in with a smile.

"So I'm only worth a million?"

Zhan Xiyan corrected him with a straight face.

"A million euros."

"And..."

"You're priceless."

She'd only meant to admire a handsome guy, but ended up eating the worst barbecue every day and bringing the owner home with her.
