She heard that the birthday boy had only recently returned from abroad.
Bored by the dull affair, she wandered into a private garden by mistake.
Chi Xian had never met anyone so refined and elegant.
On an impulse, she went up and introduced herself, then asked his name: Lian Jiali.
Only then did she realize he was the prodigy whose birthday her mother had mentioned.
Putting on the act of a seasoned flirt, Chi Xian teased him under the pretext of not having prepared a birthday gift of her own. “How about... I give you a kiss?”
The more Lian Jiali looked at her with indulgent, affectionate eyes, as if she were a little girl,
