Cool air boldly slipped through the gap in the covers, followed by a rustle and then a dip in one spot on the edge of the bed.

Wu Lei didn't open his eyes. He scooted down a little, and when someone carefully climbed in and settled beneath the covers, he buried his face against her chest and silently tightened his arms around her waist.

Quite pleased with the warmth of the human furnace in his arms, she shamelessly propped her icy feet against him. Yawning, she mumbled, "Let's sleep, let's sleep. I'm exhausted."

"You're freezing." Wu Lei hissed at the cold, then tightened his arms around her even more as he grumbled.

"Mmm... I can't breathe! Strong man! Loosen your grip, just a little!"

The winter sunlight on the bed was just the right warmth. Half-dreaming and half-awake, he thought he heard words he'd once said: "I like the moon. Whether or not it comes to me, I'm still going to reach out and pluck it from the sky."

He smiled.

Now the moon was in his arms, within reach.
