Wei Qing held the reins and gazed at the layered peaks of clouds piled up on the horizon.
The man in Weiyang Palace must be losing sleep every day, waiting for news from the front.
Remembering the past, he could not help the waves of helpless bitterness in his heart.
“Wei Qing, give me your heart.”
A gentle breeze drifted by, and night stretched without end along the river in Shanglin Park. His whispered words still rang in Wei Qing’s ears.
Ten years had passed. Time and affections had quietly changed, and the distance between ruler and subject had long since replaced the innocent closeness they once shared.
It was not that Wei Qing did not understand the meaning of that kiss from Liu Che that night.
He had seen all too clearly what lay frozen in Liu Che’s eyes.
The desert winds and frost, the bitter cold of the frontier: he feared none of it.
It was only that from now on, the moon would shine on him alone. No one else would smile brightly at him beneath the stars and say, “Wei Qing, let’s wait together.”
All of this had been ordained by fate from the very beginning, which had already shown him how it would end.
Like a blossom destined to chase the flowing water even before it fell from its branch, with no way to change its course.

A general is not someone who releases captives privately, he is someone who releases tigers back to their mountains.
If Your Majesty accepts General Wei's recommendation and appoints ordinary people, General Wei will be kind to ordinary people. As the disciples of General Wei, the common people will be in the court. Although the general and the common people have no selfish intentions, they will inevitably be suspected of forming cliques. As for General Wei, I am afraid that once the recommendation is opened, others will flock to him, which will do a lot of harm to General Wei but no benefit.
That's it~
As a history fan, I like such a calm writing style.
King's body first
The wife is the first of the country, and the foundation of the country is the king. The human body is like a mountain, high and unmoving; like the sun and moon, pure and bright. Where Zhaoshu looks up to him, everyone in the world returns. Being broad-minded is enough to take care of everything; being calm and straight is enough to control. Without mighty virtue, one cannot reach far; without kindness, one cannot embrace others. Treat the nine tribes with benevolence, and receive ministers with courtesy. Think of filial piety when you are in the first position, and respect when you are in position. It is the character of a king to devote oneself to hard work in order to practice virtue and righteousness.
Marriage second
Husband and Liuhe have a wide open road, and they have great treasures and heavy responsibilities. You can't go too far in the open road, so work with others to manage it; you can't live alone in a heavy responsibility, so work with others to guard it. Therefore, feudal relatives are regarded as vassal guards, and they work together for safety and prosperity. Maintain distance and distance, and use both closeness and distance. Combined with roadblocks, there will be no counterattacks. The prosperity of the past Zhou Dynasty divided the mountains and rivers and divided the kings and clans. There are the assistants of Jin and Zheng inside, and the dangers of Lu and Wei outside. Therefore, the divination spirit of Zuo has lasted for hundreds of years. In the season of Qin, Chun Yu's policy was abandoned and Li Si's plan was adopted. If you don't kiss your relatives, you will only know your own wisdom. If you subvert, don't rely on it, and you will perish in the second generation. Isn't it true that if the branches and leaves are sparse, it will be difficult to pull out the roots? If the bones and legs are dead, then there will be no one to rely on! At the beginning of the Han Dynasty, the Han Dynasty settled in Guanzhong to avoid the blunder of destroying the Qin Dynasty. In large cases, it is dedicated to the capital and even the country; in small cases, it spans counties and states. If it is big at the end, it will be dangerous, and if it is big at the end, it will be difficult to fall off. The six kings had rebellious aspirations, and the seven kingdoms were punished by the yue. This is all caused by the vast territory and the accumulated strength of the army. Wei Wu started his own business, which was hidden from Yuan Tu. There is no one who can establish a household among the children, and there is no place for the clan to establish itself. There is no dimensional city on the outside to support itself, and there is no rock on the inside as its foundation. So the great weapon was preserved by others, and the country was destroyed by a different surname. There is a saying: "When the flow is exhausted, its source will be exhausted; when the strips fall, the root will wither." This is what it means.
If the seal is too strong, it will lead to navel-biting disease; if it is too weak, there will be no solid foundation. From this point of view, it is better to build a clan with more people but less effort. Make the light and heavy balance each other, and the joy and sorrow will be the same. Then there will be no suspicion above and no fear of injustice below. This is a lesson from feudalism. These two are the foundation of a country.
The magnificence of a gentleman's virtue can only be achieved through his capital. Set up county schools to educate people, and use skills to transform people. Do things at the right time and control things with the way.
The secret of the art is the secret of the spirit, and the power of the Tao is the greatness of the light. If you include Cangmin and your body and mind, people will look up to it without knowing it; if you include the thick ground as a measure, people will follow it without reason. Dangdang is hard to name, so it should not be far away. Qie Dunmu's nine tribes put honors and beauty in front of them; they restrained the harmonious and harmonious people, and valued their splendor and reputation behind them. There is no way to break the righteousness by cheating, and there is no way to alienate the relationship. Observe it with understanding and care for it with virtue, then the country will be in good condition, its flesh and blood will be healthy, and the good will be beautiful.
Seeking talents third
The supporter of the husband's country must be loyal and good. Let people be entrusted, and the world will be self-governing. Therefore, Yao ordered the four mountains, and Shun promoted the eight elements, in order to achieve the goal of respecting oneself and using the way of praising Qin Ming. When a scholar lives in the world and a virtuous person stands up, he will always keep his wings and hide his scales, waiting for the meeting of wind and cloud; he will cherish the wonders and wonders, and think about the autumn when they meet. It is a wise king who looks for talents, interviews the virtuous, and searches for the weak. Don't be humble and disrespectful, don't be humiliated and disrespectful. In the past, there was a concubine named Xin in Yiyin; Lu Wang was a humble old man in Weibin. Yiwu was trapped in prison; Han Xin was forced to flee. Shang Tang was not ashamed of Dingzu, and Ji Wen was not ashamed of slaughtering Diao. He was finally able to offer the landscape Bo and bring glory to the Yin Dynasty; he insisted on commanding the Muye and prospering the Zhou Dynasty.
Qi Chengyi Kuang's business actually supported Zhongfu's plan; the Han Dynasty regarded Liuhe as its home and relied on Huaiyin's plan.
Therefore, the ability of a boat to sail across the sea must be due to the help of the raft; the ability of a swan to soar into the clouds must be due to the use of feathers; the emperor must rely on the help of the Kuang to help the country. Therefore, it is easy to ask for it, and it is easy to let it go. According to the car twelve, the gold accumulates thousands, how can it be as prosperous as many scholars, and the weight of one virtuous man. This is the value of seeking talents.
The fourth judge
The husband set up officials and divided them into duties, so he explained the style. Therefore, when the Ming Dynasty appoints people, it is like a skilled craftsman making wood. The straight ones are used as shafts, the crooked ones are used as wheels; the long ones are used as pillars, and the short ones are used as horns. There is no right or wrong, everyone has his own application. The Ming Lord appoints people based on this. The wise use their strategy, the fools use their strength; the brave use their power, and the timid use their prudence. There is no wisdom, stupidity, courage, or timidity to use all at the same time. Therefore, a good craftsman never abandons his materials, and a wise master never abandons his scholars. Don't forget your good deeds because of one evil thing; don't cover up your merits with small flaws. Separate government agencies and do everything they can. However, the cauldron that holds an ox cannot be used to cook chickens; the raccoon used to catch rats cannot be used to fight animals; a jun weapon cannot be used to contain the flow of Jianghan; a cart with a hundred stones cannot be filled with grains for fighting rice. Why is it better to be big than small, and light instead of heavy?
Nowadays, people's wisdom can be short or long, and can be large or small. There may be hundreds of aggregates but still few, or they may be unified and yet there are many. Those with little talent should not be entrusted with important responsibilities; those with little strength should not be relied upon to succeed. Appointments and responsibilities are fulfilled without any effort, which is what officials are supposed to do. These two are the source of chaos.
To establish a country and cultivate people, capital, stock and strength are used to conform to morality; to propagate customs and guide customs, to wait for the virtuous to show their hearts. They stand in the sky to help the sunset shine; hundreds of rivers cut across the land, adding to the deep source of the Ming Bo River. The sea and the moon are so deep and bright, they are as big as fake ones. When the emperor is under the control of the emperor, and when he is unified, he can only use his small heart to encompass the nine districts. How can he succeed without the help of others? It is necessary to clearly judge the talents, select talents and distribute salaries. If you get it, it will be popular and harmonious; if you lose its use, you will hurt others. Therefore, it is said that philosophy is difficult, but good things can be done with caution!
Accepting remonstrance fifth
My husband, the king, sits high and sees deeply, but I am unable to see clearly. Afraid of mistakes but not aware of them, afraid of gaps but unable to make amends. Therefore, I set up a tree and think about the plan of offering sacrifices; I listened with an open mind and listened to the words of loyalty and righteousness. To say yes, even if you are a servant, you can't abandon it; if you say no, even if you are a prince, you may not tolerate it. The meaning is considerable, so don't blame the argument; the reason is usable, but don't blame the writing. If the threshold is broken and broken, mark it as a warning; if the train is sitting on it, it will show that it is wrong. Therefore, a loyal person will use his heart, and a wise person will do his best. There is no separation between my ministers and my love for those above me, and my love for you below can be reflected everywhere.
This is not the case with a faint master. Those who speak refuse to use authority; those who persuade others are forced to commit crimes. The minister cherishes his salary but refuses to give advice; the junior minister is afraid of being punished and refuses to speak. A violent heart and extremely debauched ambitions. It is Yongsai, and there is no way to know it. He thought that his virtue surpassed the Three Emperors and his talent surpassed that of the Five Emperors. As for death and the destruction of the country, wouldn't it be tragic? This is the evil of refusing to remonstrate.
Go to slander the sixth
A man who slanders a sycophant is a traitor to a country. Strive for glory day and night, and competition is beneficial to the market and the dynasty. With his flattering attitude, he hates those who are loyal and virtuous; with his evil ambitions, he resents those who are rich and powerful but do not take precedence over others. The stalemate between friends and cliques will never penetrate deeply; the quarrel between friends will never reach the highest level. Make your appearance and speak cleverly, so as to be close to the superior; first convey your intention and purpose, so as to please you. There were thousands of ministers in the dynasty, and Duke Zhao only became enlightened after he left the country. There were no nine stones in the bow, and King Xuan didn't know about it for the rest of his life.
If they distance themselves from each other, the Song Dynasty will suffer the disaster of Yi Ru; if evil defeats the good, Chu will suffer the punishment of Quewan. This is the secret master who is deceived by the mediocre king, and the loyal ministers and filial sons cry for injustice. Therefore, if the orchid wants to flourish, the autumn wind will destroy it; if the king wants to be clear, it will be concealed by slanderers. This is the danger of being a traitor. The two of them endanger the foundation of the country.
To work hard, nothing is better than honest advice; to lose one's virtue and defeat one's heart, nothing is more than slander. Nowadays, people's appearance is the same as the eyes, but they still don't see it by themselves. What's more, right and wrong are invisible, so can you see them by yourself? Whoever decorates his appearance will look into a bright mirror, and whoever cultivates his virtue will not know how to visit a wise man. If you think you are mediocre and stupid, how can you be so confused! A good person is uncomfortable with words that are offensive to his ears, but it is easy to follow words that suit his heart. Those who feel uncomfortable are the bitter taste of medicine and stone; those who are easy to follow are the sweet taste of poison! If the king of Ming accepts advice, the illness will be cured but will be cured; if the king of darkness obeys flattery, the fate will be sweet and will lead to death. It's not advisable! It's not advisable!
The seventh commandment
Husband, be frugal to nourish your nature, and be quiet to cultivate your moral character. Being frugal means that people don't work hard, and being quiet means that people don't bother themselves. When people work hard, resentment arises, and when people are disturbed, the government behaves well. The owner is curious about the sounds of promiscuous skills, birds of prey, and wild beasts. He travels freely and hunts in the fields from time to time. If this is the case, the corvee will be troublesome, and if the corvee is troublesome, the manpower will be exhausted, and if the manpower is exhausted, the farming will be wasted. The owner likes high platforms and deep pools, carved with carvings, pearls and jade, and embellished with fur. In this way, the wealth will be heavy, and the wealth will be heavy, and people and money will be scarce. If people and money are short, hunger and cold will occur. The king of troubled times is extremely arrogant and extravagant, and indulges in his desires. The earthworks and clothes are embroidered, but the people's clothes are not all brown; the dogs and horses are tired of chewing grass, but the people's chaff is not enough. The old people and gods are resentful and angry, and the upper and lower parts are estranged. The joy is not over yet, and the danger has come. This is the taboo of arrogance and extravagance.
Chongjian eighth
The king of the holy world is frugal. If you are wealthy and vast, keep it with promises; if you are wise and wise, keep it with foolishness. Don't be proud of others because of your dignity, don't be proud of things because of your virtue. The grass is not cut, the rafters are not cut, the boats and carriages are not decorated, the clothes are not written, the earthen steps are not respected, and the big soup is not harmonious. It's not that he hates honor and smells, but that he lives in poverty and practices frugality. Therefore, the customs are pure and simple, which can be compared to the sealing of a house. This is the virtue of frugality. These two are at the end of honor and disgrace.
Extravagance and frugality are up to others, but safety is up to oneself. If the five gates are close, good fortune will be far away; if a thousand desires attack from within, evil will come from outside. Therefore, the osmanthus clings to beetles and eventually destroys the fragrance of the moon; the red fire contains smoke, and then the flames of the soaring clouds are suppressed. Therefore, we know that arrogance comes from ambition, and if it is not restrained, ambition will be overwhelmed; desire is born in the body, but if it is not restrained, the body will be destroyed. Therefore, Jie and Zhou's unbridled passion led to disaster, and Yao and Shun made promises to themselves and extended their blessings. Is it okay to ignore this?
The ninth reward and punishment
Husband and Heaven nurture things, just like a king protects his people. Heaven regards cold and heat as virtue, and the king regards benevolence as his heart. If the cold and heat are adjusted, there will be no diseases at all times; if the wind and rain are not regular, there will be hunger and cold in the year. If benevolence is given, people will not be corrupted; if the teachings are not carried out, the government will be disobedient. To prevent the source of harm, the people will not violate the law; to exploit the source of the harm, the people will be able to do their own business. Explicit punishments are used to intimidate them, and explicit rewards are used to transform them. If you stand in authority, the evil ones will be afraid; if you turn it into action, the good ones will be encouraged. If it suits oneself but hinders the Tao, there will be no increase in salary; if it goes against oneself but benefits the country, there will be no punishment. Therefore, those who reward are not virtuous, and this is due to merit; those who punish are not resentful, and those who punish are guilty. Therefore, "Book" says: There is no partiality and no party, the king's way is wandering. This is the power of reward and punishment.
Farming tenth
Food is the foundation of man and nature, and agriculture is the foundation of government. A person who lives in a warehouse knows etiquette, and one who has enough food and clothing means he is honest and shameless. Therefore, I plowed the eastern suburbs and paid tribute to others. The country does not have a nine-year reserve, which is insufficient to prepare for floods and droughts; the family does not have a year's worth of clothing, which is insufficient to protect against the cold and heat. However, if you don't carry a calf and wear an ox, you will be hypocritical if you abandon your strength. Seek the benefit of clever tricks and destroy the foundation of farming and mulberry trees. If one person plows and a hundred people eat, the harm will be worse than that of the autumn borer. It is better to forbid glitz, encourage people to learn farming and weaving, and return people to their roots, and turn the vulgarity into reality. Instead, we should have a heart of benevolence and righteousness, and never be greedy and cruel, which is the foundation of farming. These two are the opportunity to create customs.
The son educates Li and Guizhou, but he is endowed with majesty and favor. If it is beneficial and pregnant, it will return to the wind like a cloak of frost and shine on the spring sun; if it is powerful and fearful, it will frighten China, like walking on a blade and carrying thunder. We must use both power and grace, use both strength and softness, do not offend by punishment, and remove trees without deception. When rewards and punishments are clear, there will be distinction between good and evil; when benevolence and faith are combined, the heart will be far away. If you work diligently in farming, you will suffer from hunger and cold; if you curb luxury and beauty, you will gain abundant benefits. And under the influence of the king, it is like the wind destroying the grass. If you are not disciplined at the top, you will have too many ambitions at the bottom; if you do not restrain yourself, but forbid others to do wrong, it is like hating the burning of a fire, adding fuel in the hope of stopping its flames; the turbidity of a pond of anger, trying to clear the flow by scratching the waves, but it cannot be achieved. If you straighten your body first, then the person will disappear without saying a word.
The Eleventh Military Parade
A man with armor is the weapon of his country. Although the land is vast, if you are warlike, people will be killed; although the country is safe, if you forget to fight, people will be destroyed. Carving is not a method of preservation, and it is certainly not a method of imitating a bandit. It can't be completely removed, and it can't be used frequently. Therefore, it is necessary to practice martial arts and practice majesty during farming breaks. Therefore, Gou Jian and Shi Wa achieved hegemony; Xu Yan abandoned military power and ultimately lost his country. Why? The more you get used to its power, the more you forget about its preparation. Confucius said: Not teaching people to fight means abandoning them. Therefore, we know the power of arc arrows to benefit the world. This is an opportunity to use troops.
Chongwen twelfth
If the husband succeeds, he will create music and make arrangements for rituals. The rise of ritual and music is based on Confucianism. To promote customs and customs, don't be good at writing; to teach people, don't be good at learning. The way is prosperous because of literature, and the body is exposed by fake learning. If you are not near a deep stream, you will not know the depth of the earth; if you are not traveling in Wenhan, you will not know the source of wisdom. However, the essence of Wu Gu is not only the beauty of the feathers; the nature and wisdom are not the result of accumulated learning. Therefore, the Mingtang was built and Piyong was established. Read hundreds of schools of thought, study six arts intensively, know the world through archeology, and learn from the past and present by doing nothing. Is it true that those who have a flying voice, a flourishing body, and an immortal light in the world are only academics? This respects literary skills. Both of them are handed over for national use.
If the energy lasts forever, success or failure will be determined by the sharp edge; huge waves will surge into the sky, and the rise and fall will be determined by a burst. At this time, fighting is more important than order. When it comes to Haiyue, the waves and dust have been cleared, and the remaining power of the seven virtues has been wiped out, and the nine powers have been transformed. At this time, the emphasis is on poetry and books. It is known that there are two paths, civil and military, and one cannot be given up. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages depending on the time. How can warriors and Confucians be abolished? These twelve articles are the outline of the emperor. Safety, prosperity and failure depend on this.
As the ancients said, it is not difficult to know, but difficult to do; it is difficult to do, but it is difficult in the end. Therefore, the king of violence does not only know the evil way; the sage master does not only know the good way. The good road is far away and difficult to follow, while the evil path is short and easy to follow. The villain obeys the easy task and cannot do the difficult task, so misfortunes and disasters follow him; the superior man obeys the difficult task and is unable to cope with the easy task, so blessings and blessings flow to him. Therefore, we know that there is no way for misfortunes and blessings, but only when called by others. If you want to regret, don't regret the past, but be careful about the future. You should choose the Holy Lord as your teacher. Don't take me as a warning. If you take the method from above, you will only get the middle; if you take the method from the middle, it will be the bottom. If you are not of the highest virtue, you cannot imitate it. Since I have been in power, I have controlled many things. Strange and beautiful clothes, embroidered pearls and jade, are constantly in front of you, this is not to guard against desire; carved couplets and carved rafters, high platforms and deep pools, every time there is a service, this is not frugal ambition; dogs, horses, eagles and falcons, they will reach no matter the distance, this is not chastity; there are many lucky deeds, in order to work for others urgently, this is not subjugation to oneself. This is something I have done deeply, so don't take it for granted and then follow the law. But I have benefited a lot by educating the people, and my contribution to pacifying the world has been great. I have benefited more and lost little, so people will not complain; However, I am ashamed of the traces of perfect beauty; I feel ashamed of the path of perfection. What if you don't have the slightest merit, and you just rely on the foundation to achieve success? If you worship goodness and spread virtue, your career will be in peace and your body will be at peace; if you indulge your emotions and indulge in wrong, your career will be ruined. The one who succeeds slowly and loses quickly is the foundation of the country; the one who loses easily and gains hard is the position of heaven. Don't hesitate? Is it careless?
It would be great if Wei Qing were my husband
Do you dare to speculate on the emperor's thoughts?
The writing style is concise and neat, which is so rare in jj QAQ, I am simply fed up with that Manchu and Qing pretentious writing style
Reprinted in 2023. Thank you to the author for describing the perspective of the battlefield.

It is necessary to clearly judge the talents, select talents and distribute salaries. If you get it, it will be popular and harmonious; if you lose its use, you will hurt others. Therefore, it is said that philosophy is difficult, but good things can be done with caution! Accepting remonstrance fifth My husband, the king, sits high and sees deeply, but I am unable to see clearly. Go to slander the sixth A man who slanders a sycophant is a traitor to a country. The seventh commandment Husband, be frugal to nourish your nature, and be quiet to cultivate your moral character. Chongjian eighth The king of the holy world is frugal. The ninth reward and punishment Husband and Heaven nurture things, just like a king protects his people. Farming tenth Food is the foundation of man and nature, and agriculture is the foundation of government. The Eleventh Military Parade A man with armor is the weapon of his country. Chongwen twelfth If the husband succeeds, he will create music and make arrangements for rituals.
Oops, I fell into the trap again, woo woo woo...
I found a good article by Liu Wei! !
