With so many females eyeing him hungrily, the top chooses to be with the bottom, who is both his childhood friend and his comrade-in-arms.
On their wedding night, the two insects face each other in silence, heads bent over the tutorial materials that came with their marriage certificate, both blushing to the roots of their necks.
Can this position really work?
The top, bright red with embarrassment: “How about we go play a round of mech combat instead?”
The bottom, stammering: “O-Okay, m-my male lord...”

The top aims to become the Pirate King. But after buying a secondhand computer and activating the identity information stored inside, he is identified as a long-wanted fugitive thief from the Empire and locked up in a small prison on a remote planet to await sentencing.
The top's daily routine: eat and complain about the food; sleep and complain about the bed; fight and provoke his opponents.
Top: “I'm not picking on anyone in particular. I'm saying everyone here is trash.”
The bottom is a civilian female who grew up in an orphanage and holds the rank of major in the Empire's Third Army Corps.
After failing to follow his superior's “correct orders,” he is “temporarily” stripped of his rank and assigned as warden to a remote planet.
Looking at the minimalist bedroom, the bottom asks: “Who embezzled the funds the Empire allocated to the prison?”
After seeing the top's obnoxious behavior, the bottom asks: “Are you sure he was only stealing? He wasn't involved in brawling or disturbing the peace?”

#Ordinary Males Deserve Romance Too#
The top awakens on the day he comes of age.
He discovers that he lives in an interstellar world made up of numerous insect-kin novels. The sudden appearance of SSS-ranked males on other planets is the best proof.
By comparison, the top, a B-ranked male, is rather ordinary. But he doesn't mind. He just wants to live a peaceful life.
One day, while passing through an alley, the top finds an injured military female.
The top, curious and excited: “What's your rank? Imperial Marshal? General? Major General?”
The bottom: “...Hello, sir. I'm a patrol officer assigned to this area. A suspect shot me with a homemade energy gun.”
The top thinks the bottom is hiding his identity to avoid enemy insects. After spending time together, he realizes the bottom really is just an utterly ordinary police officer.
Bottom: “You seem disappointed?”
Top, sighing: “Who hasn't dreamed of saving the world?”

Genius weapons expert x senior military female
#Let's Marry My Senior So I Can Focus on Research#
The top is a genius male at the academy, devoted to researching and inventing weapons.
The top's mentor is an elder of the bottom's family. The bottom is the top's senior and often helps him test his weapons. The two gradually grow close.
When others pressure him to marry, the top simply asks the bottom if he is willing to marry him and become his male consort. He promises he won't marry any other insect.
The two have been married for years without having any offspring. The bottom feels guilty, but the top doesn't mind.
On their tenth wedding anniversary, the top decides to take the bottom to another planet for a relaxing trip. But on their return journey, they encounter a black hole storm.
Route 1: The top and bottom end up on an undiscovered primitive planet and struggle to survive in the wilderness.
Route 2: Both are reborn. The top returns to the day he reports to the academy, and the bottom, his senior, is there to welcome the new students.

The top is shorter than the bottom. The top is the weaker one physically, and the bottom dotes on him.
There will be egg-laying and child-rearing plotlines, though not necessarily in every story.
