[Campus first, then city life | Ensemble cast elements | Passionate and high-energy | Queen x Knight]
P.S. "Social engineering," or SE, refers in the information security field to using psychology and behavioral science to infer internal information from external clues, such as passwords and people's thought processes, in order to identify vulnerabilities.

In their first year of knowing each other, after the National College Student CTF Competition, the teammates asked Lin Miao for advice about their future career paths at the team's celebration banquet.
Zhou Ji also plucked up the courage to ask.
Wearing white and a white hat, Lin Miao sat in the shadows, tilted her head, and stared at him for a long while before saying five words: "Social engineering."
In their tenth year of knowing each other, at the awards ceremony of a global cybersecurity conference, someone interviewed Zhou Ji and asked what his greatest achievement to date was. He looked toward the other side of the stage.
Lin Miao wore a black dress and stood beneath the lights. She suddenly turned and gave him a faint smile.
The words Zhou Ji had been about to say changed without him realizing it.
"Probably... hacking into someone's heart."
*
All Zhou Ji knew was that Lin Miao was a lighthouse in the boundless fog, forever showing him the way forward.
What he did not know was that, when Lin Miao had once lost her way in the dark, he had been the shooting star that flashed past and rekindled her will to live.
*
He would not become a vulnerability to her. He would be her strongest security system.
A red-hat hacking expert heroine who seems aloof but is really just too lazy to talk * A social engineering expert hero who seems like a sweet puppy but is actually great at fighting
Reader's Guide:
1. Dual perspectives. The hero's perspective is more common early on, but for about half the time, the camera is the point of view. The heroine is unquestionably the star and the heart of the team. Some ensemble-cast elements.
2. Both leads are strong, and they work in the same field. Professionally, the heroine is at the pinnacle of combat ability. The hero follows her. He is strong, but she is stronger.
3. The story spans a long period, and the plot takes up a substantial portion. A few parts of the timeline overlap with He Comes Following the Moon, told from different perspectives.
4. Both leads are chaste. The hero is virtuous. The heroine has had a former boyfriend, and there will be plenty of characters with one-sided crushes on her.
5. Happy ending.
6. Professional knowledge comes from research and consulting people in the field. Corrections are welcome if anything is wrong.
Theme: Without cybersecurity, there can be no national security
