Does Secretary Shi Like Me Today?

A cold, domineering CEO accidentally discovers that he's inside a CEO romance novel.

Shi, his newly hired secretary, is a femme fatale. During the rural variety show they appear on together, she plots against him at every turn. Her methods include, but aren't limited to, drugging him, deliberately making physical contact, and pretending to share his interests. Once the viewers see through her, they condemn her until she's kicked off the show.

Sure enough, at lunchtime, the CEO spots Shi setting aside a bowl while preparing the food, then pouring some powder into it.

He calls her out on the spot, his face cold. "Is this for me?"

Shi: "...It's for the pig."

She gives him a troubled look. "I only made one serving."

The CEO glances at the bag. "..." Damn it, pig feed.

While picking vegetables in the garden, the CEO notices Shi brushing against him every now and then.

His arm starts itching. He grabs her wrist, his gaze intense. "Don't try any more tricks."

Shi jumps. "I'm sorry, Mr. Yan!"

"I won't shoo the mosquitoes that bite me over to you again."

He looks down. "..." Damn it, no wonder it itches so much.

During a late-night chat among the guests, the CEO mentions that he likes reading in his spare time.

Shi's eyes light up. "What a coincidence."

He curls his lip coldly. This time, she won't get away with it.

Shi: "I happen to have a copy of The Care of Sows After Farrowing. Would you like to read it?"

At first, Shi's stunning looks seem completely out of place in the countryside, drawing endless criticism.

But soon, thanks to her intelligence, competence, knack for spotting things that need doing, and quick wit, she becomes the show's most popular guest.

A male guest tries to flirt with her.

Before he can get close, a freezing gaze pins him in place. It's the CEO.

The CEO deliberately steps in front of Shi, blocking the man, and holds up a book. "I've finished it. Do you have another one?"
