Is This Immortal Venerable for Real?

Xuan Zhi, the epitome of the righteous path, with a breeze-like grace and moonlit clarity, was so revered that countless disciples flocked to seek the Dao. He blinked sleepily, his face dark with annoyance. "Thanks for asking. I was meditating in my dreams, perfectly content, when someone hauled me out of bed. Who gets it, folks?!"

Elder Yin Yu, in charge of personnel at Qingxiao Sect, said, "Oh, you troublesome ancestor, hurry up and come with me. The disciples are all here! The Sect Master said you absolutely have to take on a disciple this time. Just see if anyone catches your eye."

Xuan Zhi felt no connection. Xuan Zhi was speechless. Xuan Zhi gave in.

The two hurried to the gathering. Halfway there, Xuan Zhi spotted Bu Jin by the roadside, looking drab and dusty. She had wandered into the sect by accident.

Xuan Zhi stopped and impatiently pointed at her with her eyes. "I think I'm fated to meet her. I'll take that one."

Elder Yin Yu: "...???"

Xuan Zhi said, "Good child, you have excellent potential. Why not become my disciple?"

Bu Jin looked up with sparkling eyes at the older sister before her, so utterly different from herself. She heard the cool, beautiful woman say:

"Become my disciple, and I guarantee you'll be the coolest, most dazzling, most badass person around!"

Elder Yin Yu, standing nearby, let out a practiced, rueful sigh toward the heavens.

Honestly, they had no idea who this so-called Xuan Zhi was...
