In the future, on another planet, there is a continent called Yatai. On this land, much like Earth, live not only descendants of human colonists from a feudal era, but also strange creatures they call "demons."
This is a story of spears and shields, bows and armor, facing off against monsters famous in science fiction.
The protagonist is still a strong female lead: a nineteen-year-old girl named He Liya, who is always thinking about how to defeat the demons and turn the tide for humanity. Though she is a respected veteran "messenger," she is still unable to pursue her ambitions because she is a woman.
The other two protagonists are a fifteen-year-old boy with maxed-out combat ability, Brandon, and a sixteen-year-old boy with maxed-out intelligence, Kelin. The former eventually kills the alien queen alone, while the latter discovers the key to humanity's comeback.
Theme: The protagonists' emotional journeys mirror our own as we face all kinds of challenges: from fear to despair, and then to resistance. As long as we do not give up, the clouds will eventually part and the sun will shine again.
