[Jujutsu Kaisen] An Ordinary Life at Jujutsu High

A companion piece to the previous novel, "Banish the Gods," with some continuity between the plots. It's also fine to read this one on its own. There are two couples, with a slice-of-life feel. The story mainly takes place before the Shibuya Incident and features an ensemble cast.

The blurb:

The married couple who are always sweet on each other:

There are two great unsolved mysteries at Jujutsu High, and everyone, from Principal Yaga to the new students who enroll each year, finds them utterly baffling.

First:

Why does the gentle, kind, and beautiful humanities teacher indulge a certain white-haired scumbag in everything? Her favoritism goes beyond simply granting his every request.

As reliable adopted son Megumi Fushiguro put it: "Teacher Hatsu... never turns down anything Teacher Gojo asks."

Second:

What on earth does the great beauty see in that obnoxious cat?

Could it really be just shallow, good looks?!

But his awful personality should completely cancel out that one good point, shouldn't it?!

A little scene:

Gojo the cat: I want a honeymoon on the company dime!

Suguru Geto, currently filling in as a teacher: So I'm just doomed to be single?!

The elementary school sweethearts:

In a dream, Muzi hears her elementary school classmate, whom she hasn't seen in years, call her a monkey. Thinking herself mature and sensible, she laughs it off and says there's no point getting worked up over it.

Half a month later, aboard a flight to Japan, Muzi is already planning how to deal with that classmate.

A little scene:

A certain elementary school classmate, former leader of Monkey Mountain, now a teacher: ...You wanted to see Leader Geto. What does that have to do with Teacher Geto?

A certain white-haired teacher, enjoying the show: Yes! It's gossip about my best friend!

The original female lead is a distant relative of Miwa Kasumi. She has no cursed energy and can't see cursed spirits, a genuinely ordinary person.

Theme: You in my eyes
