P.S. (This contains a spoiler.) I put a lot of thought into trying to write a completely symmetrical unreliable-narrator twist in this book. In theory, by the end you'll realize that many of the things the hero says and does at the beginning are lies, and the same goes for the heroine. The opening portrayal of a romance where the man is dominant and the woman is submissive is also false. In reality, their dynamic is the opposite, with the woman in the dominant role. If you finish the book and find that some parts didn't have a twist, it's because I didn't write them well enough (╥﹏╥). I'll keep practicing, and maybe we'll meet again in another book...
Finally, I hope you all enjoy reading (though the early part of this book probably isn't much fun, so I hope you at least make it through safely~). Just trying to save my own skin here. I hope those of you who feel emotionally tangled for one reason or another find a little healing in this story~
