Arresting You in a Dream

Xu Xingyue had a special ability from childhood: she could see the red strings held by everyone.

Thanks to this ability, she helped all her friends and relatives within a hundred miles find true love, but she herself remained single for years.

Perhaps this was heaven's greatest punishment for her revealing the secrets of fate.

When she was in school, she had a crush on someone who was the center of attention. There was hardly a girl in the whole school who didn't like him.

But the red string in her crush's hand wasn't connected to her, and whenever he got near her, he became incredibly unlucky.

Xu Xingyue thought, No one can escape my red-string predictions. If the other end of his string isn't connected to me, then he must be suffering a backlash.

From then on, she resolved to stay away from him.

She hoped he would have a safe and happy life!

Six years later, she started dreaming about Qin Yuyang frequently.

She dreamed of him kneeling in the rain, begging his father not to send him abroad. She dreamed of his stepmother tossing him a sheet of paper: "Take a look. This is Xu Xingyue's list of university choices. She never planned to go to A University with you. She was lying to you."

She dreamed of him in his room, where a photo of the two of them sat on his desk and his sketchbook was filled with drawings of her.

She dreamed that they were together, and Qin Yuyang touched his chest as he asked her, "Xu Xingyue, heartbeats don't lie. Mine is telling me right now that I like you. How can you be sure the other end of my red string isn't connected to you?"

Then one night, the dream came true.

He wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, his fingertips brushing her collarbone. "In last night's dream, did you prefer the hot spring or the classroom?"

Huh?

Xu Xingyue played dumb. "Did I dream about anything last night?"

Moral: As long as two hearts understand each other, distance is no obstacle
