The owner is blind and hard of hearing, but exceptionally handsome. Every girl who visits the town makes sure to take a photo with him. Later, a young man came to town and asked specifically to see the shop's owner. Then one day, the neighbor auntie saw the well-dressed young man from that day gently laying his coat over the sleeping owner. [02] Wei Wujiu left town at sixteen. When he returned at twenty-three, he was blind and deaf. The townspeople heard he'd been in a car accident, but no one dared ask for details. So no one knew that Wei Wujiu, whom they all believed to be terribly unfortunate, had once held his own art exhibition around the world. Wei Wujiu could never have imagined that, because he had left without a word, Shen You would cross mountains and seas, traveling from abroad to China just to find him and make him keep the promise he'd failed to fulfill all those years ago. Yi Wojiao begged him, "Please don't call him my husband in front of him. He doesn't like other people knowing about our relationship." [03] Later still, Yi Wojiao's husband was found dead in the street. The police asked Lou Qiao, "Were you with Yi Wojiao that night?" Lou Qiao thought of that night, when Yi Wojiao had taken off all his clothes in front of him. Yet he had thought of Yi Wojiao's husband and run away in a panic. Lou Qiao told the police, "Yes, we were together all night. If his husband isn't satisfied, I can compensate him." Thinking of the person who was now a corpse, the police officer said hoarsely, "The deceased wasn't Yi Wojiao's husband. Neither of them was married." [04] Much later, Lou Qiao finally understood that all their encounters had been nothing more than Yi Wojiao needing an eyewitness. An eyewitness to provide him with an alibi. "You can't prove I'm guilty." "Then I should be acquitted."
