TSAB, short for Time-Space Administration Bureau, is exactly what its Chinese name suggests: an organization that manages the order of time and space.
As a time-space cleaner, Lan Ge is the most diligent employee in the TSAB, conscientiously completing his cleanup assignments every day.
At least, that's what he thinks.
As a time-space cleaner, Lan Ge is allowed to enter different planes, and if nothing else, each one has plenty of delicious food. Lan Ge is very pleased.
How is that any different from a paid vacation?
It's not!
Besides, a time-space cleaner's job usually isn't tiring. Their cleanup work involves getting rid of aberrants who have become corrupted by violating the rules of time and space: transmigrators and the reborn.
Since transmigrators and the reborn usually behave themselves, Lan Ge hardly ever has to carry out a cleanup assignment. So every day, he just eats and drinks, watches their stories unfold, then goes back to eating and drinking.
Just as Lan Ge was content to lie flat, some idiot started causing trouble by placing an Angel Stone Statue in a plane.
Lan Ge looked up at the sky. Looks like he's got work to do.
Lan Ge went to see Li Yizhou, the innkeeper of the Time-Space Inn, hoping to ask him about the Angel Stone Statue. But the innkeeper, who had a pair of captivating, peach-blossom eyes, was unusually attentive to him.
He even offered to help with the investigation.
If someone's being nice for no reason, they must be up to something!
Aberrants are a term for certain humans who have been given another chance at life: transmigrators and the reborn.
They pass through time and space and get a second chance at life, but they must also abide by the rules of time and space.
Once someone becomes an aberrant, an ancient sword hangs over their head: the Sword of Damocles.
It symbolizes restraint and divine punishment.
As long as the story follows a reasonable course, they can take revenge on those who once hurt them, but they must not kill indiscriminately.
If an aberrant's psychological state becomes unbalanced, the Sword of Damocles will appear in time and space, visibly growing more and more decrepit.
When the Sword of Damocles falls, the entire plane will disappear.
Angel Stone Statues are artificial beings from beyond time and space. No one knows who created them or why.
They do not belong to any time or space.
Angel Stone Statues originally had no names. They look like petrified angels, with pupil-less eyes and breathtakingly beautiful features that are impossible to identify as male or female. They have no gender.
Hence the name Angel Stone Statues.
Living beings cannot see them as they are. When a living being looks at one, all they see is a beautiful stone angel statue.
That's why humans think they're ordinary carvings.
Angel Stone Statues feed on human goodness and evil. When humans look into their eyes, the statues invade their consciousness. If a person's inner goodness isn't strong enough, the statues absorb it, amplify their evil thoughts, and tempt them to commit acts that violate the rules of time and space.
Conversely, they absorb the evil within and amplify the person's goodness.
