[Genshin Impact] I'm the Number Two at the Fortress of Meropide

Recommending my Alhaitham x Wanderer fanfic, "I Became a Scrap Machine," on my profile! [Story blurb] Great news! A Fortress of Meropide branch has opened on the west coast of Mont Esus! They say the person in charge has quite the pedigree. Not only is he the Duke's half-brother, he's also the youngest senior technical officer at the Fontaine Research Institute. Rumor has it he's on very close terms with the Chief Justice, and he's even a favorite of the Hydro Archon... Faced with a list of credentials long enough to fill a whole roll of parchment, someone is on the verge of tears. Transmigrate if you must, but why transmigrate into someone this important? I'm bound to get found out! Research System 001: Host, there's no need to worry. As long as you complete a detailed analysis report on how Primordial Sea water affects the changes in Fontaine's water composition, you'll be able to leave Teyvat safely. Someone: Huh? You want an ordinary corporate drone like me to solve an ecological problem the Hydro Dragon can't even handle, and write a report about it? Cannon Fodder System 347: Host, don't listen to him. As long as you lower everyone's opinion of you to the negatives, you can leave safely! Someone: That requirement is even more ridiculous! The head nurse watches him with concern. "What's wrong with Lord Olet lately? His facial muscles keep twitching, and he talks to himself all the time... Should I report this to the Duke?" "Viscount, are you worried about those prisoners from foreign lands?" Foreign... prisoners? Do you mean the School of Amurta scholar who laughed wildly while the Hydro Archon was speaking, the bard who drank without paying at the Debord Hotel, or the Liyuean who applied to be a consultant but had highly suspicious motives? Olet waves his hand. "Bring them all here. I'm giving them a talking-to!" "Heads down!" "Don't even think about escaping~" "I'm feeling a little tired..." ...F*** this, I'm quitting the game!!! Whoever wants to manage this branch can have it! Reader's Guide: 1. Pairing: Zhongli x Olet. Everyone else is platonic! 2. The romance is a slow burn, and the main plot leans toward adventure. This isn't a farming or city-building story, nor is it a power fantasy. Don't read if that's not your thing! 3. Set after version 4.2. To avoid contradicting later content, the game plot won't feature much. You can treat it as a parallel world or an event story! 4. Note: The protagonist is not Wriothesley's biological younger brother! No original settings have been added! Theme: Break free from constraints and save yourself.
