On a cool day, gamer Sato was locked inside a cryogenic pod when the player standing outside the world dropped another coin into his game.
From then on, Sato was able to travel between different worlds.
After “adopting” two children from a fragile dimension, he took them along as assistants, on the principle that they were free to choose. He cheerfully joined a main-story-and-side-quest crossover in what higher-dimensional players called “a game world built around challenging realism.”
As the saying goes, too much play makes a dull mind. While happily treating everyone as part of the game, he inspired one of his kids to dream of becoming a great detective, thanks to a “mystery novelist with the same name” in the game.
The other, left to roam freely, somehow wandered into a crossover event called “Saw” and was kidnapped for being a sinner who didn’t cherish life.

At least little Sherry is a relief.
Not long after, players began noticing that this old man, who claimed he was just accompanying his grandchild for a bit of fun, was taking on entire armies by himself. His exploits soon became a hot topic on the BBS.
