[Genshin Impact] Seeing Morax in My Dreams Every Day

When the little girl Li Yue thought she was about to become the first transmigrator to starve to death in the wilderness, Zhongli brought her home. He had been laying flowers at The Chasm to mourn an old friend.

Well, it turned out she had merely transmigrated into a game, and into a version of Liyue where nobody had died.

During her days as a little one, Zhongli always took care of her himself, perfectly embodying the image of a devoted father. For Li Yue, an orphan in her previous life, he was a ray of light.

She almost called him "Dad," but Zhongli's stern expression scared the word right back into her throat. The adepti nearby agreed with him: the price of changing history had worn away her understanding of emotions.

What history? Li Yue felt like this was her first time here. What the heck could have been worn away?

At first she didn't care, but eventually she had no choice but to.

It seemed that no matter whom she met outside, the first thing they always said was, "You seem to have gotten a little smaller again."

What did they mean, "again"?

After hearing it enough times, Li Yue asked Zhongli, who was beside her. Every time, he fell silent.

Perhaps he was silent simply because back then, there was nothing he could do.

He could do nothing about Guizhong's death.

He could do nothing about Azhdaha's erosion.

Before The Chasm, the Millelith had thrown themselves into battle one after another, and he could do nothing.

Faced with her again and again, bearing the price of changing history, Morax was still powerless.

When she fell asleep at night, thousands of years of Liyue's history surged through Li Yue's mind like a flood, and she alone could move freely through it.

She often spent her days forgetting, then pieced her memories back together as history unfolded at night, forever living in everyone's past.

She had saved the adepti and protected the Millelith. The Zhongli of today would have everything Morax had lost, except for a future with Li Yue.

So... Li Yue opened her eyes and looked at the man standing beside her bed.

Was this why, ever since Zhongli had brought her home, he never took her along when he went to listen to stories, and now even kept watch over her dreams night after night?

How many times had this happened now? He checked on her in her dreams every single day.

Li Yue couldn't hold back any longer. She asked Zhongli again, "Be honest. Are you jealous of the Morax of the past?"

This time, to her surprise, Zhongli actually nodded.

Perhaps he nodded because now he was finally able to teach her a lesson.
