Thanks to Madam Pineapple Cake for the cover. Baozi added the lettering later. So happy!
The apocalypse arrives, bringing zombies, mutations, and extreme weather with it. A few people gain supernatural abilities, some struggle to survive, but most turn into zombies.
Jian Cheng has an ability, but his companions abandon him during the disaster. A mudslide and flood bury him underground.
Just as he despairingly thinks he is about to suffocate and die there, a clear chime rings out.
"Ding! This is the Recycling Gacha System. A suitable host has been detected. Would you like to bind with the System and accept its assistance?"
Jian Cheng: ...As if I have a choice?
Recycling Gacha System: Sorry, but you can't draw cards without binding, and I can't save you otherwise!
With the System, Jian Cheng begins a life of scavenging everywhere for trash, collecting eco-points, and drawing cards.
While other people unleash their abilities and bring down whole buildings, Jian Cheng follows behind, recycling the reinforced concrete and using it to draw cards.
While other people struggle to fight zombies, taking the crystal cores and leaving corpses behind, Jian Cheng follows behind, recycling the zombies and using them to draw cards.
While other people struggle to withstand natural disasters, relying on all kinds of technology to prevent and monitor them, Jian Cheng uses items obtained from card draws to build himself a green, eco-friendly safe city in the apocalypse.
No one knows how Jian Cheng does it, but everyone knows his habit.
Everyone: Look, Boss Jian Cheng is out scavenging again!
Boss Jian Cheng is bargaining with the System in his head: Look, this trash is so heavy. Surely it's worth a ten-pull, right?
Recycling Gacha System: Enough already! I've told you so many times, no means no...
