I'm doing a round of edits lately!
The complete series costs about as much as a cup of milk tea. Thanks for supporting the official version! Please leave a rating when it's finished ^ω^
My next book will tell the story of the older brother and sister-in-law: married first, love later. It's called When the Begonias Bloom at Night, and it's already underway. The blurb is at the end. If you're interested, please add it to your favorites!
Blurb for this novel:
[Hong Kong style | Entertainment industry | Reunited after a breakup]
Four years ago, in early autumn, the night was cool and clear.
A pair of headlights illuminated the fine rain falling on an autumn night in Hong Kong. Shen Zhuo slowly lowered the car window, his thin eyelids lifting. Half his profile was hidden in shadow, his expression casual and faintly amused, in stark contrast to Yan Ning, who was soaked to the skin.
He said, "Let me give you a ride."
She saw him again at a formal dinner. Her friend Julia pointed him out from afar and said, "That's Shen Zhuo, the youngest son of shipping magnate Shen Chengming."
Back then, Yan Ning thought they were like two intersecting lines: after a brief encounter, they would each go their own way and never cross paths again.
But that winter, thirty thousand fireworks bloomed over Victoria Harbour, dazzling the eye and captivating all of Hong Kong. Shen Zhuo pleaded in a low voice, his tender words scattered by the cold wind:
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
Four years later, at the 21st Golden Bell Awards, Shen Zhuo, the young master of Xinghua Pictures, personally presented the award to Best Actress Yan Ning. Thunderous applause filled the venue as ribbons fluttered through the air, and they shared a perfectly proper embrace.
Onstage, the award-winning actress and the heir apparent of Hong Kong's entertainment industry were a handsome couple, hailed by their fans as a match made in heaven.
Offstage, they tacitly avoided each other, pretending to be strangers and maintaining the boundaries between superior and subordinate, never once mentioning their past.
Until one day, after getting drunk, Shen Zhuo cornered Yan Ning against a wall and demanded, "Are you not willing to take even one step forward?"
"It doesn't matter. I can take all one hundred and one steps."

#The possessive Hong Kong mogul with a hint of madness lowers his head for one woman alone#

They say there are only three possibilities for a couple who get back together after a breakup: they never broke up, they never got back together, or they were never a couple in the first place.
There isn't much in Yan Ning's life she can trust, but she has never doubted one thing:
Shen Zhuo loves her.
P.S. One-on-one romance, both leads' first and only, happy ending.

Decisive wealthy-family boss x concert pianist
[Hong Kong style | Married first, love later | An old flame rekindled]
1.
On the eve of his engagement, Shen Che flies to New York overnight to attend He Xiantang's concert.
A blizzard blankets New York. They share an umbrella as they walk through Lincoln Center.
The snow falls heavily that year, and their bodies warm each other. He Xiantang thinks they might spend the rest of their lives growing old together.
But she forgets that this is only a marriage between two families. Shen Che doesn't need love. He only needs a wife who can pretend with him in front of others that they have a happy marriage.
2.
After years of marriage, He Xiantang can no longer endure a relationship where even their anniversary is remembered only by the secretary. She asks for a divorce.
The divorce process moves slowly, but smoothly. On the day their divorce is finalized, heavy rain falls in Hong Kong. He Xiantang rides away from the home they've shared for years, traveling along Borrett Road.
Behind her, rain rolls down from the Mid-Levels, like a requiem for her failed marriage.
3.
After the divorce, the young master of the Zhao family openly pursues He Xiantang, making a grand show of it. He throws her a birthday banquet and invites Hong Kong's most powerful figures.
At midnight, the countdown ends, but the guest of honor is nowhere to be seen.
No one knows that in a corner of the second-floor terrace, Shen Che is holding He Xiantang tightly in his arms, kissing her until the corners of her eyes turn red.
At last, Shen Che lets her go. The normally dignified and composed gentleman has lost his composure, his possessiveness now utterly unrestrained in his eyes.
"Tell him we're getting remarried."
Theme: Live well
"Secretly holding Shen Zhuo's hand," caught a big bug for the author~
