You, in All Your Splendor

In her senior year of high school, Su Mu transferred to a new school. After the first monthly exams, a little joke between her and a classmate attracted the attention of the school heartthrob and top student:

"Hello, Su Mu. Let me introduce myself. I'm Lu Mingyi, your classmate and the top student in our grade. Give me a chance?"

Su Mu refused with righteous conviction: "...We should focus on our studies and keep striving to improve!"

The truth was, she had a childhood friend who was the one she had always cherished in her heart.

--

Su Mu was an abandoned baby, but she had an exceptional talent for sports and was a rising star in the tennis world. She hoped to stand at the top of the world one day and reunite with the one she had always cherished, with dignity.

By chance, she met her childhood friend at her new school. He had become a young master of the Ye family, someone utterly beyond her reach. He told her that their status and position were no longer equal, and asked her not to cling to him.

Su Mu let go of her obsession and resolutely turned away.

After graduating from high school, Su Mu accepted Lu Mingyi's advances, and they shared a brief, passionate romance.

Many people said Lu Mingyi was a stand-in for Ye Kai. Only Su Mu knew that the dazzling, passionate young man was an unattainable dream, the one and only person who could never be replaced.

Three years later, Su Mu made a sensational debut, becoming a women's singles tennis champion adored by millions, with a bright future ahead of her.

Her adoptive father, desperate for money, forced her to switch careers and enter show business, then sold her to an old man.

At the lowest point of her life, her on-again, off-again ex-boyfriend returned from abroad. "Su Mu, how about considering marriage?"

Su Mu turned him down again. "Marriage is a serious matter. My fans have also reminded me that money and my career are more important."

Lu Mingyi held out a bank card to her. "There's five billion in here, and I have a trillion-dollar family business to inherit. If you marry me, you'll have plenty of money and can keep doing what you love. Will you reconsider?"

Su Mu: "!"
