[I've already applied to unlock the chapters. Once they're unlocked, I'll mark the novel complete. Xing Ge's bonus chapter will also be included among the free extras. Sorry to have kept you all waiting. Since the New Year, real-life errands and paperwork have kept me constantly on the go. I'm holding a giveaway to make it up to you. Thank you for supporting me for so long. It means the world to me!]
Hua Xu transmigrated into a game called Honkai: Star Rail.
The ancestor of all the dragons in the Abyss, the Aeon of Permanence, who was said to have fallen long ago, placed the only scale on its body in Hua Xu's hand, then sent her flying into the Sea of Quanta with a flick of its tail, forcibly bundling her off to Imbibitor Lunae, Dan Feng.
From then on, the Vidyadhara had a new dragon girl who held a scale and vowed to wreck the plot. Her life's great achievements included, but weren't limited to:
Drying off Luofu's famous golden-eyed, white-haired cat in the rain; rescuing a Foxian pilot whose Starskiff was falling apart in midair; working herself to the bone as the young lord to help her Dragon Lord brother shoulder his burdens; witnessing and helping expose the scandal behind the failed products of the Great Forge of the Hundred Artisans; and getting Luofu's renowned Sword Champion to make a handmade gift.
Guided by the chivalrous principle of taking a blade for her brothers, Hua Xu pressed on and forcefully turned the High-Cloud Quintet into a brand-new group: the Six Blades of the Hunt.
After getting in the good graces of the Aeon of the Hunt, the human dragon girl decided to charge ahead with abandon, kicking away every death flag and smashing the future's exam-prep books to smithereens.
Permanence: "You'll be rewarded for this."
Hua Xu: "With what?"
The Aeon of Permanence promptly opened a Xianzhou storybook from someone who wished to remain anonymous and began reading in a flat voice: "For the world's greatest unrequited love, we offer our hearts to the Dragon Girl Who Holds the Scale."
Hua Xu, utterly expressionless: "Thank you, my boss who always has my back."
Permanence calmly turned the page. "You should be more grateful for your own impressively durable mental fortitude. But you're welcome. You should be thanking me, you human fool masquerading as a little dragon girl."
[The Literary Version of the Main Story]
She had dreamed of many strange scenes: the Aeon of Permanence gazing at her from across the water, Elation making an entrance amid sprays of streamers, and meteor showers streaking across the heavens, all dazzling and magnificent.
In less than a century, she went from being a dragon girl despised by the dragon masters to the young lord whom the Vidyadhara of the other four Xianzhou ships wistfully wished they could have had, and to one of the Six Blades of the Hunt known throughout the Alliance.
"More than half our forces didn't die in the battle against Shuhu," she said, cradling the silvery orb in her palm like a miniature moon. "The Moon Rage Rebellion never happened, either."
"That saying is true. The world would be so much better if certain things didn't exist."
"Free, vibrant, brilliant, sharp, and whole."
"That is the ending you deserve."
The person whose face she couldn't make out gazed at her. His white hair was tied back, shining like frost and snow in the warm afternoon sunlight coming through the window. He seemed to be smiling, his whole presence as gentle as a spring day.
He asked, "And what about you?"
They asked, "What will your ending be?"
At that moment, she suddenly remembered her name, remembered that Hua Xu meant a wondrous dream of immortals. Then she laughed for no apparent reason, looking very happy.
"It's time to wake up."
Important Reading Notes:
1. This is a retired player's made-up take on the past of the High-Cloud Quintet after the game hurt them. There are enormous amounts of original headcanon, added mythological elements, and even changes to the worldbuilding and omissions of Aeons. The story takes plenty of liberties and makes things up, including the characters' personalities! [Important] You can think of this as my version of Honkai: Star Rail (yes, it goes beyond just the High-Cloud Quintet).
2. I stopped paying close attention to the game after Version 1.4, so this story barely connects to later updates. Any differences from the game's timeline, locations, or background are normal.
3. The heroine is doted on by everyone and is extremely Mary Sue-like in her relationships. This even applies to the occasional Aeon.
4. There will be no clearly defined pairing before the main story is finished, but there's no need to pick a love interest. The story has different endings.
5. Dan Feng and Dan Heng are two separate people! Two separate people!
6. If anything makes you uncomfortable while reading, please leave promptly. Don't insult the characters, except the villains. If the heroes' combat strength or intelligence seems insufficiently impressive, that's down to the author's writing. It's my fault! It has nothing to do with the Xianzhou, the Hunt, the High-Cloud Quintet, or the protagonist!
7. I love writing lengthy descriptions, and my style is unusual. If anything makes you uncomfortable, please escape promptly.
Theme: May your road ahead be clear and may all your wishes come true
It's so uncomfortable. In the Bengtie worldview, I actually ate two backtracking knives. This is no better than Xiaobai's more than 30 million backtrackings. It's too heartbreaking [crying]
Teacher, when will Ying Xing's extra episode be released? I'm just banging the bowl and waiting [Xing Xing Eyes]
If you can't reach a good ending, you'll have to go back and start over. No one can stop Mao Maolong from wanting a perfect ending. Touch Hua Xu
Is there anything we paid VIP readers can't see? Brother Dan Feng. [Glasses] Let me see, let me see. As well as. Quickly wait for Yingxing's extra episode.
Dan Feng, this jealous guy, seems to have been sprayed with car exhaust. Is there anything you shouldn't read in the comment section? [Dog head]
Teacher, it's already September, will you still write a side story about Brother Ying Xing? [Pitiful]
Didn't the teacher write? Teacher QAQ
Finished spreading flowers! ! ! I was really moved along the way. I felt heartbroken after seeing the ending of Yun Shang Wu Xiao in the game. I have been looking for fanfics to read. I want someone to give them a good ending even if it is personal heroism. Woooooooooooooooooo thanks for eating a wonderful meal replacement
After reading the translation of the poem, I suddenly felt that Zhu Jiuyin was so cute [Star Eyes]
Woohoo, nine hundred and thirty-six times, I feel so sorry for little Asu!
