Synopsis
Chu Qiao transmigrates into a book with nothing to her name, then meets the second male lead and falls for his good looks.
She boldly speaks her mind and bravely pursues love, but her pride may cost her everything.
Chu Qiao's monologue
If life has no meaning to begin with, then I might as well live numb to everything and wait for death to come.
In real life, Chu Qiao is a marginalized person who isn't happy. Like most people, she can't simply die whenever she wants. All she can do is live day after day and rot night after night, waiting for death to take her someday.
But life doesn't go as she wishes. She wants to wait quietly for death, yet life takes her to a strange world.
In this other world, she changes from a human into a fox spirit. Fortunately, there are plenty of fox spirits like her, and nobody cares that she has changed. At first, she has no desire to fit into this world. She acts one way to people's faces and another behind their backs, treating everyone as an NPC and caring about no one. She wants to find the most perfect day to die.
But before she decides to die, the Book of Destiny guides me to meet the man of her dreams, Jiang You. He's so perfect that she comes up with an even more perfect idea.
After going through all kinds of things with Jiang You, she realizes she's lost her way. She can tell herself that everything is fake: the world in the book, Shen Yezhou, Bu Pianpian, Liang Shu, even Jiang You. But she can't deny what she feels. At last, she understands that nothing is fake.
But when Jiang You stands before her and asks in anguish whether she has a heart, she suddenly realizes that she's taken things too far.
So, after life has left you battered and bruised, do you still dare to gamble on a love decided by the human heart, Chu Qiao?
Jiang You's perspective
When did the notebook start to change?
When did that fox become the whole diary?
So why didn't you let me meet my little fox sooner?
Demons live long lives. So long that they can obtain everything they want: fame, power, status, everything people yearn for. I have it all. The world is nothing special.
Life stretches on, mountains rising and rivers flowing. I've seen enough of the moon, enough of the clouds, and every lake and mountain under heaven. Living has become a day-after-day repetition for me. The Book of Destiny showed me the last path to godhood, so I took it, setting off to see the unknown treasure it had arranged for me.
I saw a different kind of love. After meeting my little fox, I gradually realized that love was beginning to find its way to me, too.
"You enjoyed yourself and got what you wanted, and now you want to run?" I gripped the fox spirit's cheek and pinned her in a corner, demanding an answer through gritted teeth.
I don't understand. Am I not handsome enough? She liked me so much before.
Or does she think I'm too dull and boring, that I don't know how to say sweet things? If she likes that sort of thing, I can learn...
Why, exactly? I couldn't hold back anymore. I had to find her and get an answer.
What do you mean, it was just for fun?
I told her how I felt, yet she, who had always loved me, is trying to leave and says it was just for fun?
Hmph. Very well. You dared to toy with me...
Until I saw the sorrow in her eyes and entered her memories, walking in her shoes and following the paths she had taken.
My poor Nannan. My heart aches for her.
P.S. Shen Xiao
Was it really worth scheming for everything?
P.S. Bu Pianpian
The moon in my dreams is still just as round.
P.S. Shen Yezhou
Accept my fate? No. I'll crush the cage of this life.
P.S. Su Yu
Even if I lose everything, I still love my Ashu.
P.S. Liang Shu
I don't want hardship to give my life meaning. I want Su Yu, in every life, to be safe and happy. Everything that can't defeat me will be defeated by me.
No matter what world she ends up in, she's still a stray dog, a fool who can't find the right direction no matter how hard she tries. So, dear villain, please don't forget me, don't reject me, and don't give up on me.
Written by your little stray dog, who will love only you forever.
A cold, ruthless male lead who hates fools x a silly heroine who knows her own shortcomings
