Sixteen-year-old Xiang Yuan had just spent his first winter at Hogwarts when, at a ball he was obliged to attend, he met the mysterious man who asked him to dance.
Xiang Yuan should have slipped away as soon as the dance ended, but the man caught him by the hand...
The two of them ended up as roommates in the same dorm.
This continued until one night, Xiang Yuan discovered that his roommate had sneaked out without telling him. He followed by chance and ran into a silver-haired man who looked exactly like him outside the Slytherin House dorm...
Jiu really was hiding something!
(Heads-up: The story isn't told entirely in first person; there are also sections in third person.)
Tips:
1. An overview of the main characters
Xiang Yuan: Cheerful and sunny. His early social anxiety has improved a lot with Jiu's help. He's a little slow on the uptake and naturally absentminded. His one flaw is his luck: most of the time, he's unlucky and his attempts to fix things only make them worse.
Jiu: Gentle and gentlemanly on the outside, but a schemer underneath. His family background is a mystery, and he has never told the person he lured into sharing his dorm about it.
Silver-haired man (???): The mysterious person who gave Xiang Yuan some clothes that night. Xiang Yuan suspects he's Jiu's brother.
2. About the writing style and plot
A lighthearted, cheerful story focused on the main plot, with a romance woven in along the way. It's a slow burn, slightly sweet and slightly angsty, with a sprawling backstory involving more than just one cursed family.
The story is expected to run over 850,000 words. Later on, there will also be character backstories, additional clues, and alternate timelines.
3. About the ending
As mentioned above, there are alternate timelines, so there isn't just one ending. There are four in total.
(Warning: There is a bad ending, with some angst.)
Theme: This isn't a wish-fulfillment story. It defies conventions, takes neither the pursuer's nor the pursued's side, and focuses on psychological descriptions and character growth. Supporting characters are treated just as thoughtfully!
I want to ask my wife, in the final 1v1, is one of Lan and Jiu destined to disappear? I like Lan so much(?;;`)
Someone come up with an Avatar and send this Andrew away.
Wonderful and wonderful, although it has an ancient taste
Why didn't Dylan defend himself?
I don't understand. Do we need to discuss the two aspects separately?
So these two brothers are prime ministers?
Give it a try, it's so fat
