Su Yin transmigrated into a 1960s body-double romance novel and found herself sitting across from the male lead in a state-run restaurant.
In the original story, Su Yin would embark on a tortured romance with the male lead, enduring a series of hardships: his first love returning to the city, emotional abuse, a miscarriage, and a family crisis. In the end, the male lead would see the error of his ways, giving the story a happy ending, and she would live a comfortable life everyone envied.
Su Yin thought, I can give myself a comfortable life. Whoever wants those eighty-one trials can have them.
The first time Chu Jiabo mentioned Su Yin to his friends, they assumed she was just a country bumpkin who was lucky to look like An Yao.
Later, they heard Su Yin had moved to the city to study. Out of mean-spirited curiosity, they went to see her, only to find that she was beautiful and well-educated, with a scholarly air that made An Yao, a technical school graduate, look utterly unsophisticated by comparison.
They were envious and couldn't resist teasing Su Yin. Her utterly puzzled expression left them embarrassed and awkward, and they realized she had never been interested in Chu Jiabo at all.
They had thought Chu Jiabo was so charming that after losing An Yao, he had found himself a replacement. In reality, Chu Jiabo was the only one with feelings for her. It was entirely unrequited.
Chu Jiabo's parents thought their family was wealthy and their son outstanding, so he could easily marry a girl from a good family. The first time they met Su Yin, they were on their guard, worried that her resemblance to An Yao would beguile their son.
When they later heard Chu Jiabo singing Su Yin's praises, they disliked her even more.
Later still, Chu Jiabo became lovesick over Su Yin. They reluctantly gave in and prepared to accept her as their daughter-in-law, only to discover that Su Yin was beautiful and capable, and that her blind dates were university professors and the sons of generals.
Their family didn't even meet the standards for a match with Su Yin's family.
An Yao had suffered greatly after her husband died. When she returned to the city, she learned that Chu Jiabo had fallen for someone who looked like her.
She didn't want to live a hard life anymore, and she was confident Chu Jiabo hadn't forgotten her. If she showed him a little kindness, his replacement would eventually be cast aside.
She soon realized Chu Jiabo had already transferred his affections, and there was little hope of making him give up Su Yin on his own.
She wanted to use the good reputation and connections she had built up over the years to isolate that replacement and make her leave of her own accord.
But before she had even started plotting in secret, someone saw her and exclaimed, “You look quite a bit like Professor Su.”
The person added with heartfelt sincerity, “You're so lucky!”
An Yao: ...
How could this body-double have an even better reputation than her?
Please note: The male lead is not Chu Jiabo!! He appears much later in the story!!
An historically inaccurate period story, set in a fictional world, with many original details.
Please add After Awakening the Fortunate Wife Fate of the 1970s to your reading list: Being a lucky charm for your husband is no match for being lucky for yourself.
Who in Qingwan City hasn't heard that Mrs. Xu is a lucky charm for her husband?
She married Xu Qing, a poor young man whose family was in debt from the start, with sickly parents, rebellious younger siblings, and an uncle's family full of layabouts.
No one could have imagined that the Xu family would one day become the richest family in Qingwan City, or that Mrs. Xu would become a wealthy lady.
Everyone envied Mrs. Xu.
Mrs. Xu thought she was lucky, too.
But one day, Mrs. Xu suddenly thought back over the years.
She remembered working herself to the bone to care for her parents-in-law every day, and being driven to tears time and again by her rebellious younger siblings-in-law.
She remembered paying off her uncle's gambling debts and nearly getting hacked to death, and discovering that her husband loved someone else.
She remembered working all year round, and the tears that froze as she rushed around on the factory's behalf in the depths of winter.
She also remembered her own youthful years, the education she had cut short, and the family she had grown distant from.
Mrs. Xu suddenly remembered that her name was Ning Wan.
And so, when she woke from a nap, Mrs. Xu had become Ning Wan once more.
The awakening of a human blood bank and all-purpose tool.

After looking at the author's homepage, I discovered that the author only digs holes but doesn't bury them... I'm speechless. Is this a new type of problem?
Only now did I realize it was short and pitiful.
To be honest, this meme is really good, so I come here to take a look at it from time to time, but it hasn't been updated. Is it not updated?
The next few chapters are too short, so why not just make up for them in this water chapter?
Update soon, it's very beautiful
Misplaced? The number of chapters does not match
Maybe it's because of the last novel I read, I kept "looking at him deeply" every now and then, which makes me feel uncomfortable whenever I use "deep" to describe eyes. It's a particularly annoying adjective.
Oh, what do you think about letting the sophomores in junior high school to make up lessons for the sophomores in high school?
It looks good. Please update me quickly. Come on.
Awesome, awesome, you are awesome! Come on, come on, come on! Awesome, awesome, you are awesome! Come on, come on, come on! Awesome, awesome, you are awesome! Come on, come on, come on!
