The title was made up on a whim, so don't mind it.
A Maze Runner fanfic, with Newt as the love interest. I started writing it because I rewatched The Maze Runner and couldn't accept Teresa and Newt being killed off so easily.
Dorothy, the barefoot doctor of the Gladers, x Newt, the Maze's little angel.
The story begins at the end of the second movie, when the Gladers find Dorothy. The few months in between are my own invention.
If a world filled with Flare virus is a giant maze, Dorothy doesn't even know where she got lost, let alone how to find the exit. Luckily, someone is there to walk beside her, face every hardship with her, and wait for the light to return to the storm-darkened sky.
Every cloud has a silver lining.
Content warnings: Teresa and Ava Paige survive, and there are quite a few original characters. The author's writing isn't great, and the plot moves slowly.
Theme: The characters I love won't be killed off easily.

I finished reading it, DaDa, DaDa wrote it really well. As a fanfic, it fulfilled some points of the original work very well. I was filled with tears when I saw that Newt could survive. Thank you DaDa for writing this article. Thank you to them in the Maze Runner for being able to live satisfactorily in the if line you created.
