Three years ago, after Qiao Zhixu gave birth to their child, he lost all his spiritual power and reverted to his original form. He had no choice but to return to the mountains to recuperate, leaving the child with Yue Jingheng.

Yue Jingheng devoted himself to raising the child, while holding fast to the decision he had once told Qiao Zhixu about and waiting for him to return.

Three years later, Qiao Zhixu happened upon Yaoyao, who was filming a variety show about kids.

He knew at a glance that this was his little bird.

For the show's second recording, Qiao Zhixu joined the group as a trainee dad.

Yaoyao was overjoyed.

Yue Jingheng said nothing.

Qiao Zhixu glanced at Yue Jingheng's fingers, silently clenched tight.

He really hadn't changed at all.

*

Director: This time, you'll have to compete to claim your houses. The most luxurious one has a guest room, so you can invite our trainee dad to stay!

Yaoyao: Daddy, go for it!

Yue Jingheng: Say no more.

*

At the viewers' suggestion, the director tried adding a child from outside the show for Qiao Zhixu to look after.

Yaoyao got jealous. "Waaah, you're my daddy, not someone else's daddy..."

Qiao Zhixu patiently soothed him. "Be good, Yaoyao. Just pretend it's all acting. Daddy will sleep with you tonight."

Yue Jingheng: I want in.

Qiao Zhixu: Who was the one who was so nervous before?

*

A gossip account angrily accused Qiao Zhixu of going on the variety show to ride the wave of popularity and cozy up to Yue Jingheng.

Qiao Zhixu couldn't be bothered to respond.

Fans: My guy worked with Teacher Yue three years ago. Why would he need a variety show to cozy up to him? If you said he was trying to cozy up to Yaoyao, I might believe you!

Yue Jingheng @ gossip account: You've got it backwards.
