Water and Stars on a Journey [Genshin Impact]

Alhaitham never wastes time on socializing, much less on maintaining so-called friendships.

The boy named Kaveh, who lives across the hall from him, is the opposite.

When they first met, Kaveh immediately appointed himself Alhaitham's "big brother and new friend," treating him with warmth and sincerity.

Alhaitham took one step back, and Kaveh could take three steps forward.

"We've known each other for less than three days."

"Feelings aren't measured by time."

In the end, Alhaitham neither agreed nor refused. But Kaveh understood perfectly well that Alhaitham was allowing him to get closer.

In the eyes of others, Kaveh and Alhaitham are inseparable, always clinging to each other.

Though it isn't exactly that they get along well.

The two often "debate," and more than once, people have seen Kaveh storm out, eyes red with anger.

Many people privately suspect that Alhaitham and Kaveh are bound to end up falling out. After all, when they formed a research group, they argued more often than usual, and much more loudly. They would probably part ways over their conflicting ideas before finishing the project.

But then...
