Preparing Full-Time for Exams in the Apocalypse

Q: How can I make my mind focus entirely on studying?

A: Transmigrate to an apocalyptic world with no water, electricity, internet, or people!

You Ke lacked self-discipline and studied in fits and starts, so naturally she failed every exam. At a loss and anxious late one night, You Ke thought: If I could transmigrate to an apocalyptic world with no water, electricity, or internet, locked in my bedroom, then I’d have no choice but to study.

Her wish, made in the dead of night, was heard by the heavens.

When You Ke opened her eyes, she had successfully transmigrated to an apocalyptic world. There was no water, electricity, or internet at home, only several piles of books on her bedroom desk.

After being trapped for a long time, You Ke was lucky enough to awaken a mind-reading ability. But zombies had no minds, so she couldn’t read them. Fortunately, she could still read people’s minds. Unfortunately, she ran into a group of top students from Tsinghua and Peking University, whose heads were full of knowledge.

Forced to listen to one-on-one tutoring from master teachers, You Ke learned more and more. Before she knew it, she had gone from a hopeless student to a top student, and then she suddenly transmigrated back to the present.

With her head full of knowledge, You Ke rose to the top of life. Her parents asked, “Can you get into No. 1 High School?”

You Ke replied, “I’ll try.”

The principal of No. 1 High School came to admit her in person.

Her parents asked, “Can you get into Tsinghua or Peking University?”

You Ke replied, “I’ll try.”

A banner celebrating the top scorer in the national college entrance exam hung in her neighborhood until the following year’s exam, and she counted nearly a million yuan in scholarship money until her hands cramped.

Her parents asked, “Can you complete a combined master’s and PhD program and graduate smoothly?”

You Ke replied, “I’ll try.”

Years later, You Ke’s parents told reporters, looking sheepish, “She really was just trying.”

Back in the present, You Ke also inadvertently crushed the former top students. Looking at their numb, devastated eyes, she felt that all the hardships she had endured in the apocalypse had turned sweet!
