After Being Reborn, I Keep My Distance from the Obsessive Yandere

When Ji Tan came home from a business trip and opened the door, an indescribable stench drove her back several steps.

After taking several deep breaths, she finally found the courage to enter this suffocating place.

The living room was dark. The reek of alcohol and rot was enough to make anyone gag.

A vase had fallen off the table, water was spread across the floor, and the flowers had long since withered.

Ji Tan tripped and nearly fell. The bottles she'd kicked rolled everywhere, startling the person sprawled across the sofa.

"You're back..."

She mumbled the words without even bothering to open her eyes.

Ji Tan pulled open the curtains. The blinding sunlight streamed in, and only then did the person on the sofa begin to wake up.

"...You're back." Shen Wan sat up, three parts awake and seven parts drunk. "The power's out, and the money you gave me is gone. I haven't eaten in two days."

Her tone was full of complaint.

Her hair was stuck together in greasy strands, her eyes were swollen, and her bags were even bigger than her eyes. The heavy stench of alcohol coming off her had turned foul.

Where had the bright, cheerful, energetic Shen Wan from before gone?

Ji Tan stared at her for more than ten seconds, then turned and went into the kitchen to take out the rotten meat.

Shen Wan followed her and held out her hand for money. "Give me a thousand. I'll go out and get something to eat."

Ji Tan stopped what she was doing and asked, "What kind of meal costs a thousand yuan?"

Before Shen Wan could answer, she continued, "Xiao Wan, you can't keep wasting your life like this."

Shen Wan gave a cold laugh. "So now you resent me for not earning money? You were the one who said you'd support me!"

The two parted on bad terms.

Ji Tan had only said those things out of concern. She had never once thought of giving up on Shen Wan. Shen Wan was a talented comic artist; she was just temporarily out of inspiration. Once she got past this creative block, everything would be fine.

Late one night, after working overtime, Ji Tan heard some inappropriate sounds when she got home. She pushed open the door and saw two figures tangled together.

Shen Wan looked up at her, a provocative glint in her eyes. "Want to join us?"

Ji Tan froze in place. A suffocating feeling washed over her, like she was drowning, and a shrill ringing filled her ears.

When she opened her eyes again, Ji Tan was sitting in a classroom, surrounded by youthful, familiar faces.

It took her nearly an hour to dare believe that she had been reborn.

Fate arrived right on schedule. A girl held out a bouquet and asked nervously, "Ji Tan, will you be my girlfriend?"

Looking at the face that had brought her so much pain, Ji Tan clenched her trembling hands and replied in a voice cold as ice:

"No."
