You Jinsui thought the person he ran into at the hospital looked familiar. When he took a closer look, he realized it was his crush, someone he could never forget, no matter how hard he tried.
This reunion was completely unexpected. He thought it was just a chance encounter, until he kept running into Lu Yanning in all sorts of places.
Wasn't this a little too much of a coincidence?
You Jinsui thought Lu Yanning was his fated person, the one he couldn't get away from.
But he also felt that things weren't quite so coincidental.
There was no way Lu Yanning still liked him, right?
Until...
Lu Yanning (earnestly hopeful): I like you.
You Jinsui (coldly rejecting him): ...
You Jinsui decided to deliberately avoid Lu Yanning. But he and Lu Yanning were fated to meet. You Jinsui got kidnapped, and he was turned into a little kid. As it happened, that kid was also Lu Yanning's target for capture.
When they met, however, You Jinsui collapsed from exhaustion. Lu Yanning caught him in an embrace that smelled of lavender.
Naturally, You Jinsui ended up back in the hospital. When he saw Lu Yanning leaning over his bedside and learned that Lu Yanning had taken the mission specifically for his sake, he admitted that his heart had started beating for him again.
He was still willing to step into this trap of love.

You Jinsui and Lu Yanning were once a deeply loving couple.
But for some inexplicable reason, Lu Yanning resisted being with You Jinsui and refused to acknowledge their relationship. He made a promise to the Heavenly Emperor in exchange for erasing You Jinsui's memories, but the price was that he had to go through nine lifetimes of love and heartbreak.
You Jinsui quietly looked into it and learned that every world had a happy ending. Wanting to win him back, he agreed.
