[Blurb to be revised. Characterization unchanged]
Tang Yu first met Lin Yezhi during his junior-year winter break.
He had rushed back from an exhibition hall, still wearing a cosplay costume of a popular character from a game: a huge, three-layered skirt held up by a petticoat, a purple wig with a dark-to-light gradient and tight curls, and high-heeled shoes several centimeters tall.
Lin Yezhi opened the door and quietly stared for three seconds at the tall beauty in front of him, dressed flamboyantly and wearing a full face of makeup. Then...
He politely and obediently said, "Hello, big sister."
Lin Yezhi was the child of Tang Yu's mother's new boyfriend. He was seventeen and still in high school.
Tang Yu's impression of the guy could be summed up in one word: weird.
In front of other people, he acted like a model student, but in private he was so aloof and indifferent it was unsettling.
Their parents left the kid at home, planning to take him in for a whole vacation for once. Seeing the easel and other art supplies Lin Yezhi had brought with him, Tang Yu couldn't help asking a couple of questions.
But Lin Yezhi didn't answer, and the supplies lay untouched in a corner of his room for the entire vacation.
After missing the competition in his first year of high school, Lin Yezhi gave up on himself and went along with his mother's plans. He transferred to the city where his father lived, abandoned his identity as an art student, and settled down to study for his academic subjects.
Reluctantly sent to stay at his father's new girlfriend's home, he never expected to encounter something beyond his understanding on the very first day.
His older brother, dressed in flamboyant women's clothes and wearing exquisite makeup, didn't correct him. He only raised an eyebrow and replied, "Who are you?"
He was radiant, like the warm winter sun.
For the first time, Lin Yezhi's world was filled with colors beyond those on a palette.
On the day Tang Yu's band performed, Lin Yezhi was left home alone because minors weren't allowed in bars.
Tang Yu lamented, "I might not keep doing this in the future."
Only then did Lin Yezhi realize that the colors in Tang Yu's world were always moving, and that there seemed to be nothing they could hold on to through a fleeting moment.
They met again five years later.
Tang Yu thought it was nothing more than an ordinary chance encounter.
At the banquet after a press conference, the once taciturn boy took off his glasses, wearing a smile that said he was sure to get what he wanted.
He said, "Be my model."
