He's So Fierce

[Short story. Updates at 21:00]

It all started with a confiscated “love letter.”

The young teachers in the office each gave their opinions, while the veteran teachers unanimously disapproved.

“Teacher Xiao Liang, what do you think?”

Liang Xingxing looked up from her lesson plan and was about to speak when the phone on her desk suddenly lit up.

[Are we having dumplings or braised pork bones in soybean paste tonight?]

The message was from that person, the one she had tricked into dating her when they were young.

“I...”

The screen lit up again.

[Or me?]

Several pairs of eyes waited for her answer, but the usually composed Teacher Xiao Liang suddenly turned bright red.

“Oh, we heard Teacher Xiao Liang's answer!” joked the female teacher at the next desk with a grin.

Liang Xingxing was speechless.

The phone screen lit up once more:

[Oh, both]

[Quite an appetite]

Liang Xingxing took a deep breath, her face red and her eyes lowered. Without mercy, she dragged the contact saved as “Husband” into her blacklist.

Highlights:

1. Two “dull and boring” adults

2. Reunited after a breakup

3. They've each dated men/women, but never slept with anyone

A similar upcoming story: When Springtime Comes

The day she came back, Zhu Siyun's world collapsed.

The drizzle of the Magic City mixed with the northwestern wind and sand, turning into muddy water. The mud children smeared around with that muddy water became the guesthouse called “Beneath the Spring Tree.”

In front of the muddy window, a pale yellow flower struggled to grow through a crack in the mud, its leaves lush and green.

Lu Chidong crooked a finger at her and grinned with a carefree air. “Come look, your flower has bloomed.”

Zhu Siyun glanced at the snow outside the window and thought he was crazy.
