Matched with a Feudal Patriarch [System]

Jiang Yiyao, a lazybones who transmigrated into another world, gets struck by lightning. The words "Match successful" ring in his mind, and then a man starts speaking.

"I am Xianzhi, the Immortal Ancestor of the Hengyun Sect. By chance, our paths have crossed. Since fate brought us together, I will guide you into the immortal sect. Are you willing?"

Jiang Yiyao: "No."

"...What would make you willing?"

Jiang Yiyao: "A carefree life, eating my fill and waiting to die."

The man falls silent. In the end, he gives in and escorts Jiang Yiyao all the way into the Hengyun Sect. Just as Jiang Yiyao is happily settling in to do nothing, the words "Take first place in the sect's tournament" ring in his mind again.

First place in what? He might consider coming in last.

The consequence of thinking that is another lightning strike. After getting struck several more times, Xianzhi appears and draws up a schedule for him.

"Practice swordsmanship and the Qi Cultivation Art on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Train your body in the cold pool on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Get up at the crowing of the rooster. If you break the rules, you get no rest on the seventh day."

Jiang Yiyao: "Why should I?!"

"The Hengyun Sect doesn't keep idlers. You eat my food and sleep under my roof, so you need to show some results. In terms of seniority, I'm practically your master. A father's orders cannot be disobeyed. From today on, I'll have a say in everything, big or small."

Jiang Yiyao: "..."

What kind of old-fashioned patriarch is this? He meddles even more than my dad!

While cultivating, Xianzhi suddenly hears someone claiming to be the System issue him a task. When he refuses, a purple lightning bolt descends from the sky to punish him. Xianzhi resists for seven days and seven nights, but eventually accepts the task: "Bring him into the immortal sect."

The target is a young man named Jiang Yiyao. Seeing how stubborn he is, Xianzhi decides to turn a blind eye and let him in. But just a few days later, a new task appears: "Astonish the world at the tournament."

Then come "Honor Your Master" and "The Young Shall Grow Strong." Xianzhi has no choice but to step in and guide him personally.

Later... his guidance takes Jiang Yiyao from under the bed to on top of it.
