[Please check out my upcoming novel, The Male Lead Ran Away With the Baby. Blurb at the end.]
She closed her eyes, opened them, and Yu Zhi, CEO of a chain of vegetarian restaurants, had transmigrated.
From the start, she was stuck in a poor monastery. Food? No money! A roof? Leaking!
Faced with five monks who would give her their hearts, lungs, and every last penny...
Yu Zhi: No problem. I'll just go back to my old line of work!
She went down the mountain to start a business and finally opened her first shop.
The capital's merchants bullied her because she was a woman?
Yu Zhi: Business warfare is no problem. Watch me use top-tier marketing!
Vegetarian buffets, rotating hot pot,
Mushroom and tofu soup, and tofu pudding fit for the heavens.
The shop was always packed, and even the big shots had to queue!
Diners: It's so good I'm crying! Boo hoo!
Female shopkeeper: It's so delicious, you can't keep it to yourself! Please accept this shop I've given you and open a branch near my home!
Hardworking farm suppliers: My children love this food!
The emperor went undercover for a month, supposedly to investigate the people, but his trusted aides were practically in tears as they pleaded with him: Your Majesty, you can't eat any more!
She opened a restaurant, repaired the monastery's tiled walls, and even picked up a man along the way.
But why was he so efficient at working and even more efficient at eating?
Looking at the man who spent half his time working and most of the rest waiting eagerly for the next meal, Yu Zhi thought: Forget it. What's wrong with a worker enjoying a good meal?
One-on-one romance, single-couple relationship.
Note:
1. The heroine lives at a monastery and practices alongside everyone else, but she does not become a nun.
2. Most of the cooking methods for dishes in the story are based on real life, while some are inspired by online cooking videos.
The Male Lead Ran Away With the Baby
Guan Jiaoyue worked overtime until midnight, slipped, and opened her eyes to find she'd become the heroine of an angsty novel.
Before her stood the male lead, Shao Zizhuo, looking down at her as he tossed over a black card. "Be my replacement."
What a bargain! The overworked office worker Guan Jiaoyue eagerly held out her hand. "What's the PIN?"
At once, a cold System voice sounded along with a powerful electric shock: [If you deviate from the plot, you will be subjected to a powerful shock, wishing you were dead.]
Guan Jiaoyue almost passed out from the shock. Clutching her wrist, she vaguely recalled the angsty novel she'd finished reading after staying up all night two days ago:
A bankrupt heiress becomes a substitute kept woman. When his one true love returns, she runs away with the baby, and the male lead chases after her, suffering through heartbreak.
Why did it have to be so cliche and so angsty! Guan Jiaoyue forced a fragile, white-lotus smile and said in a faint voice, "Mr. Shao, I'll be happy with the fifty million we agreed on."
Shao Zizhuo glanced at the veins bulging on her hand as she clutched the card, then gave a cold laugh. "Keep it."
Guan Jiaoyue quickly took it and smiled obediently. "Thank you."
"After all, I need to raise a child." Guan Jiaoyue calmly put away a monthly payment and quickly became rich.
While Shao Zizhuo went to pick up his one true love, who was returning from abroad, Guan Jiaoyue left the breakup letter she'd prepared and ran off without looking back, money in hand.
She booked the most expensive postpartum care center, rolled up her sleeves, and scheduled a prenatal checkup.
The doctor looked her over and over, then comforted her regretfully. "It's all right. You're still young. You'll have a child someday."
Guan Jiaoyue: ?
She closed her eyes, heart dead, and waited for an electric shock. But she waited and waited, and the System remained silent, as if it were asleep.
Guan Jiaoyue calmly analyzed the situation: Since the System is out of power, I might as well start working on my career.
It wasn't until Guan Jiaoyue became a rising star in the business world, surrounded by admirers at a banquet, that a little girl who looked just like her hugged her leg and wailed, "Mommy!"
Guan Jiaoyue's pupils shook. "I'm not your mommy. Don't call me that."
A man picked the child up, his expression cold and indifferent. "She doesn't acknowledge you. Why do you still acknowledge her?"
Bonus scene:
Shao Zizhuo, the proud and aloof CEO, looked at the person he'd searched for everywhere and patted his daughter, who was eating a little cake in his arms.
"Look, Mommy's over there."
She looks even prettier than in the photos! The little girl stuck out her lip, ran over to Guan Jiaoyue, hugged her leg, and wailed, drawing everyone's attention.
As the crowd around them grew, Shao Zizhuo curled his lips into a smile, stood up, and went to retrieve them.

Theme: Food comes first, above all else.
Cream, cream cheese, and butter can all be made from milk
I feel like the heroine is not very smart
Are eggs considered meat or vegetarian? Or are the egg whites vegetarian and the yolks meat?
Let's take a look at the pre-collection too! Please everyone
The boss's posts always show me that I'm hungry and I just ate 🤩
Did I miss it? Didn't I just say it was called Ah Ma? Why did you say Qin Shixian directly?
It's so good that there are food articles with a vegetarian theme. I haven't dared to read food articles since I became a vegetarian 💪 💪 💪
I have learned a lot. Bhikshuni is a Buddhist term, commonly known as nun. (I went to Baidu specifically. If I didn't understand it clearly, I always thought it was a typo and I couldn't stand it.)
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva Man (man) It turns out to be quite a confrontation haha
I always feel that prices are a bit more expensive than others written, but it doesn't affect the perception. Just think of it as an imaginary world of inflation, haha, it's beautiful!
