When the Sixth Prince, Yinzhuo, was born, he stopped breathing briefly and nearly died.
After that,
he drank his milk at a snail's pace and crawled lazily. His daily routine: staring blankly at the wall.jpg.
The imperial physicians (grave-faced): Your Majesty, the Seventh Prince is slow to react and sluggish in his movements. I'm afraid... I'm afraid he's intellectually disabled.
When Consort De heard this, she burst into tears.
The Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, rushed over and heard the news. Silence. Silence.
Wait, the Fourth Prince? Fourth Brother?
Sniff.
Stare...
Tap tap tap! Moving at the speed of a rocket, with the keen instincts of a meteor striking Earth, the adorable Yinzhuo was suddenly clinging to Yinzhen!
Hug Fourth Brother! Hold me, Fourth Brother! Kiss me, Fourth Brother! Lift me up high!
Kangxi (scowling): You call this slow to react? You call this foolish and dim-witted?
Later on...
Consort De: Yinzhuo, you're your mother's hope.
Kangxi: Little Seventh, you're the future Batulu of the Great Qing!
Yinzhuo paid no attention and looked around instead. Fourth Brother? Fourth Brother! Fourth Brother!!
Kangxi (expressionless): This one's a lost cause. Hurry up and marry him off... No, find him a wife.
A man matures once he starts a family and builds a career.

On the day of the imperial selection
Yinzhuo solemnly asked: If Fourth Brother and I fell into a river, who would you save?
The selected ladies (obediently), in unison: Of course we'd save the Sixth Prince!
Yinzhuo: Hmph, this batch of candidates is no good!
The other princes: It's over. Sixth Brother is destined to be alone forever.
Those eyes, so clear they seemed almost foolish, had stayed just as innocent all these years.
