Astronaut Zuo Xiyue was on her way back from a lunar mission when disaster struck. Her burning spacecraft crashed into an endless desert.
She escaped before the cabin was completely swallowed by the shifting sands.
A group of tall men wearing loincloths and carrying bronze spears appeared, then bowed down to her as if she were a deity.
In the distant haze, a pyramid had just begun to take shape. Zuo Xiyue suddenly got a bad feeling.
Sand blew through the pyramid's bare framework. The platform cracked with drought, and the rain the priests had prayed for was brought by the goddess.
Zuo Xiyue had barely survived, and before she could catch her breath, she heard that the pharaoh wanted to marry her and gain the gods' protection.
But he already had nine sons!!!
Luckily, during the wedding ceremony, Crown Prince Userkara staged a coup. She tried to escape in the confusion, but the pharaoh's youngest son stopped her.
By the light of the flames, Thutmose looked down at Zuo Xiyue, his beautiful green eyes sizing her up with disdain.
“I know your secret. How about we make a deal?”
Under his coercion, Zuo Xiyue had no choice but to admit that Thutmose was the next king chosen by the sun god.
And to demonstrate the goddess's protection, she “voluntarily” married him.
In truth, she never gave up trying to escape. But no matter how far she ran, he always caught her and brought her back.
Thutmose couldn't understand. He didn't expose her as a fraud, and he had even made her his one and only queen, so why couldn't he make her stay?
