As an ordinary mortal, Shen Shiqiu had always kept a low profile and endured in silence, never picking fights with anyone. All she wanted was to live out her life in peace with her mother, yet she was still forced to be sacrificed to the sword.
The sword furnace was scorching that day. Shen Shiqiu closed her eyes and leapt in, only to unexpectedly return a hundred years into the past. Standing before her was the young Pei An, not yet the Demon Venerable. A System suddenly appeared in her mind, ordering her to stop Pei An from becoming the Demon Venerable.
At their first meeting, Pei An saw her as a hostile stranger with ulterior motives. Fortunately, she became a soul attached to his sword, so nobody could touch her.
Somehow saddled with a deadweight, Pei An traveled everywhere with her, his face set in a scowl. And so, a hundred years passed...

When Pei An first met Shen Shiqiu, he was brimming with villainous menace as he tried to get her to reveal her identity.
Shen Shiqiu tried every excuse she could think of, and finally convinced the boy to believe her.
As their hundred years together came to an end, Pei An had indeed, just as Shen Shiqiu wished, avoided becoming the Demon Venerable.
With her mission complete, Shen Shiqiu was finally about to return to the correct timeline.
But the Pei An she thought had become gentle and harmless drew his sword and cut down the road to heaven.
Black demonic energy enveloped him. His dark hair had turned white as snow, and fury filled every line of his face as he advanced on her, step by step.
"Don't go. Stay."
