Rurouni Kenshin: What If Sojiro Encountered a Resurrected Shishio on a Mission?

In the Hokkaido arc, Sojiro becomes Kenshin's teammate. But if Shishio is the final boss, will Sojiro keep helping Kenshin, or will he switch sides and help Shishio? If he has a mission he must complete, will he carry on with it, or...

Shishio would never let him go. He has to be captured. Even if Sojiro can't become his ally, he certainly can't be allowed to return to Kenshin.

Just break his legs so he can't run away, then call it helping him recover.

Theme: In the Hokkaido arc, Sojiro joins the protagonist's group. While helping Kenshin carry out a mission, he runs into the resurrected Shishio. So... will they fight or not? And whose side will he fight on? Shishio is even more ruthless: he breaks Sojiro's legs and locks him up, all in the name of helping him recover
