A sunny, sweet Beta x a love-struck Alpha
Su Yuzhu is a beta. He once had his fortune told, and the fortune-teller said he'd strike it rich after marrying another beta.
He laughed. If getting married could make him rich, why bother working hard?
After a moment's thought, he started planning to get married. The groom didn't matter. Getting married was what mattered!
Soon, he found a beta who fit the bill in every way.
Fei Ran was a handsome young man who had only recently graduated and started working. He treated Su Yuzhu well, and most importantly, he was a beta too!
So Su Yuzhu asked shyly, "Ran-ge, would you marry me?"
The man chuckled. "Sure. How about we date first?"
Su Yuzhu considered the request. That was fine. He could test the waters and see if this man was any good.
As it turned out, he was very good!
So good that Su Yuzhu ran away while pregnant.
Fei Ran wasn't a beta at all, so Su Yuzhu promptly made a run for it, ready to find another beta and get rich.
Getting rich really wasn't that easy. At his next matchmaking date, he stared at the serious-looking man in front of him, who said, "My English name is Beta," and fell silent.
Su Yuzhu rubbed his eyes. "Oh no. Am I blind, or has he gone crazy?"

After they got married, Fei Ran said nothing when he heard Su Yuzhu talk about what the fortune-teller had told him.
Not long after, he suddenly hugged Su Yuzhu in the middle of the night. "That old man was wrong. You can get rich by marrying an alpha too."
Half-asleep and exasperated, Su Yuzhu said, "Are you in heat again? Why are alphas in heat all the time?"
Then he went right back to sleep, while Fei Ran sat by the bed thinking all night.
The next day, Fei Ran brought an old man over and said, eyes full of anger, "Tell him you can get rich by marrying an alpha too."
