Zhiyue is an anime fan.
She loves those vivid, lively characters.
But authors can be downright cruel, and all Zhiyue can do is watch as her favorite fictional characters get put through the wringer.
Then one day, as she watched the latest anime episode, rage overtook her. She stayed up all night commissioning an artist to draw her original character, then sat down at her keyboard and gave her character a golden finger, imagining she could become her and enter the manga to change all those terrible endings.
Infinite cursed energy? Add it!
Time reversal? Add it!
Future sight? Add it!
Whatever the skill, add it all!
And so, a new character based on her was born. Once the outfit and props were ready, she and her friends eagerly prepared to put on a grand show at the upcoming convention.
On the day of the convention, she strode toward the entrance with her friends, walking as if she didn't care who she upset.
Good heavens, had the convention scene in the city really evolved this much? Zhiyue stared in bewilderment at the neon signs everywhere and the classic streets straight out of anime, then turned around. The door they'd just come through was gone, and so were her friends.
Huh?
The good news: She really had entered an anime.
The bad news: Her golden finger hadn't come with her.
Content warning: This will be a very cringe-inducing story, written purely to lift the author's spirits. It has out-of-character behavior, a Mary Sue, melodrama, and a ton of potential dealbreakers. Not recommended.
