It all began when Huai Gu picked up a doll. It had black hair and big eyes, and was delicate and beautiful.
That night, strange things began to happen. Her kind and friendly neighbor suddenly had a cat's face, and a creaking sound always came from her house in the middle of the night.
Then there was the child Huai Gu often ran into. He stood dripping wet in front of her door, his face pale as he smiled at her.
The supermarket downstairs also closed without explanation. When it reopened, it had become a funeral supply shop that sold things for the dead.
The landlady suddenly announced that she was going abroad, and the person who took over was a retro beauty who loved wearing qipaos and had irresistible charm.
All these things Huai Gu had never dared imagine were happening right before her eyes. She instinctively wanted to flee, but as she was moving out, the beautiful landlady cornered her inside the house.
