Bai Jin only wanted to buy a discounted game, but she misread one character and bought The God Simulator instead of Simulating Gods.
From then on, a doomsday block world was connected to a window on her computer.
A famine world, a zombie world, a pollution world, a frozen world...
She could edit items on her computer and send them into these worlds.
Even game characters.
She used Farm Story to grow crops during a famine and became the God of Farming. Get!
She used Frostpunk to provide heat in a frozen apocalypse and became the God of Machinery and Fire. Get!
She used Your World to build towering walls in a zombie apocalypse and became the God of Blocks and Architecture. Get!
In the game, Bai Jin gave gifts to NPCs, chatted with them, completed quests, and raised their affection. She built one settlement after another, watching the desolate game maps spring back to life thanks to her.
What, monsters are laying siege too? Switch to a character from a Soulslike game. Still not enough? Then switch to a high-martial-arts character!
Reload and start again! A lawful-good player will never let a single character die in front of her!
As time went on, after the little people began worshipping her as a god, she discovered that she could actually take out the offerings they gave her?
In endless apocalyptic worlds, the gods have fallen, the world has shattered into countless disaster-ridden fragments, and everyone is waiting to die.
Then one day, people discover a strange person who never turns away anyone asking for help, and whose heart is filled with compassion.
She gives food to the hungry and dew to the thirsty, builds walls for the homeless, and offers shelter to those battered by hardship.
At first, people watch coldly as she dies because of her foolish faith and kindness, until they discover...
She hacks her way through hordes of monsters, summons thunder amid the uncanny, and makes disasters crumble before her. The world is saved from destruction because of her.
So they worship her as a god.
Bai Jin: Huh? Me? (The utterly ordinary lawful-good player stares in shock.)
A lawful-good take on the Fourth Calamity, and still a Fourth Calamity!
If it has a health bar, I'll take it down!
I said don't interrupt my farming! (Points.)
