All the Unknowable Beings Are Begging Me to Treat Them

Yan Sui returned after clearing a bloody, endless instance game. The moment he opened his eyes, a flyer smacked him in the face.

[A City People's Hospital Emergency Department is urgently hiring a night-shift attending physician.

Requirements: male, alive, and hard to kill.]

With no skills to make a living, he took out the medical license he'd earned before entering the instance world and eagerly went to apply.

Emergency Department's Supreme Rule No. 1: Do your utmost to treat every patient.

Yan Sui was quite pleased with that.

Healing the sick and saving lives was a doctor's duty.

Severed hands, feet, and necks? Bodies growing unknown tissue? Hearing strange whispers?

Yan Sui: Treat them. They can all be treated!

But there's one thing you absolutely must remember: be sure to listen to Doctor Yan.

Emergency Department's Supreme Rule No. 2: Do your utmost to stay alive.

Yan Sui was just as pleased with that.

He'd made it out of the instance game, after all. If nothing else, he was an expert at staying alive.

Late at night, the Emergency Department's unusual patients were dancing in the inpatient ward.

The door flew open with a bang.

Backlit, Yan Sui held a blood-dripping scalpel and asked with a smile, "Who didn't follow the doctor's orders and go to sleep?"

The patients: ...

N-no, not me!

Later, a legend spread among all manner of unspeakable beings. There was a night-shift emergency doctor who was beautiful, ruthless, and unconventional, a male bodhisattva who saved the suffering.

One day, an unspeakable creature covered in countless compound eyes sobbed that looking in a mirror had given it a phobia of clusters of holes. The next, a gloomy, handsome evil god furrowed his brow and pressed his fingers to his temples, claiming that strange whispers had kept him awake. They would do anything just to see the doctor.

Yan Sui smiled. "Thanks for asking. Eye removal and a craniotomy can fix that."

In the end, countless unspeakable beings and strange creatures revered him, worshiped him, and looked up to him.

He became the light illuminating every dark and twisted being.
