Before the Red Alert

■ A sane person going mad × a lunatic taking things seriously

Jiang Luoning first met Liang Xiao at an unfamiliar party she attended with her boyfriend.

He sat brazenly on a table strewn with liquor bottles, legs spread, grinning wickedly as he tilted his head to accept a drink from someone.

The next moment, he glanced over at her, and their eyes met.

Liang Xiao was notorious for being awful.

Men like him only made Jiang Luoning feel repulsed.

Later.

On the night of the red rainstorm warning, she did not push Liang Xiao away.

She was still in love with her boyfriend.

But she did not push Liang Xiao away.
