A Gem Falls into Locust Blossom Alley

In Huaihua Alley, on a shabby old street, there was an unremarkable private restaurant.

The food was so expensive that ordinary people couldn't afford to eat there. Its dine-in customers were all powerful and influential figures.

The restaurant had plenty of rules, too. No speaking loudly while eating, no smoking, and bring your own alcohol, among other things...

Despite the unfriendly atmosphere, there was never a shortage of customers. Everyone followed the rules to the letter, afraid of displeasing the owner. They even all addressed him respectfully as Mr. Fu.

That was because most of the people who came to eat had a favor to ask of him.

Then one day, a little girl with a ponytail and a pink suitcase barged into the restaurant in a flurry,

claiming to be Mr. Fu's fiancee.

From that day on, the quiet, peaceful little restaurant descended into chaos.

The girl ordered Mr. Chen around: “Fu Yizheng, I want a drink. Go buy me one!”

Fu Yizheng sat calmly with a cup of tea. “Buy it yourself.”

She immediately put on a pitiful face and cried, “I came all this way to find you, all alone...”

Fu Yizheng pinched the bridge of his nose. “Wait here.”

The girl climbed onto the roof, saying she wanted to look at the stars.

Fu Yizheng stood below and looked up calmly. “Jiang Baozhu, come down.”

She cautiously stuck out a foot. “Fu Yizheng, I'm scared...”

Fu Yizheng took a deep breath, resigned himself to it, brought over a ladder, and carried her down.

Jiang Baozhu smoked in the restaurant.

Fu Yizheng took the cigarette from between her fingers and watched her with a frown. “Jiang Baozhu, you shouldn't smoke while we're trying for a baby.”
