Leave Behind Money for Your Life

They say that at the entrance to every instance, there's a pretty young man holding a wooden sign that says, "Pay to pass," and "threatening" every traveler one by one.

Cheng Ming smiles at passersby, his abacus clicking away in his hands.

"This low-level instance is cheap. Pay 200 and I'll guarantee you make it through. Really, won't you give it a try?"

"This world requires a really difficult item, but I have one. Want it? Just 5,000, and I guarantee you'll be satisfied!"

"Oh, young man, your forehead looks dark. How about buying a talisman for protection? Buy ten, get one free. What a bargain!"

"I know the boss of this instance. How about you give me 3,000 and I'll take you through?"

Later, a big shot gave him eight figures to go into a certain instance and steal the treasure of the legendary final boss.

Cheng Ming took the money in one hand and handed himself over with the other.

The big shot said, "What are you doing? Where's the treasure?"

Cheng Ming smiled and pointed at himself. "It's right here."

Almost everyone who had spent enough time in the instances knew Cheng Ming was obsessed with money. At first, not many people believed it.

After all, they couldn't believe the founder of the Horror Park would let Cheng Ming get away with wrecking the instances like this.

Until, in one S-rank instance with two bosses, Cheng Ming led a team safely to the end.

When the others asked the team members what had happened, a survivor recalled it in a daze.

He remembered that when he was about to be hacked to death by a boss, the pretty young man had knocked one boss out with an abacus covered in talismans, then kissed the other boss passionately in the darkness.
