[Honkai: Star Rail] In Xianzhou, but Playing Plants Vs. Zombies

Prepublication: "[Honkai: Star Rail] I'm Invincible with My BGM Playing," blurb at the very bottom After an accident, your farming skill was maxed out. (Who knows how you, an outsider, managed to unlock this traditional Xianzhou craft?) You can grow the following plants in any 9x5 plot: sunflowers, peashooters, potato mines, walnuts... It looks like you're about to set off down the road to Stardew Valley, but there are two problems: First, you'd better not eat these plants, and they hurt a lot when they hit people. Second, growing them requires Power of Abundance. Does the first step in farming have to be finding a fragment of the Ambrosial Arbor? You choose to report yourself to the Divine Foresight. The general, Teng Xiao, smiles and pats your head. "Perhaps you'd be interested in joining the Cloud Knights? I mean, the logistics division." As a survivor rescued from a Denizens of Abundance beast ship by the Cloud Knights, your eyes slowly light up. "I'm in!" Oh, right! Fight the Denizens of Abundance! Plants that fight, plants that digest, grow them and kill them on the spot, leaving no scraps behind. Perfect! Though the plants seem to have a rather broad range of abilities. * Growing plants aboard a Borisin beast ship is a brilliant idea. I recommend that the Earth-Balance Commission publish A Guide to Soilless Plant Cultivation as soon as possible. -- Teng Xiao Give it fifteen seconds to grow, and a potato mine can blow up any Denizen of Abundance in its way. -- A certain famous, unnamed Star Skiff explosion artist, surnamed Bai The All-Seer of the Cloud Knights isn't unaffordable, but the Ice-shroom is better value for money. -- Cloud Knight soldier Perhaps we could combine a golden cloud toad with a puff-shroom, say, by covering the whole golden cloud toad with puff-shrooms... Brother Yingxing, why are you hitting me? That hurts! -- The sword champion's top student, Kitty (crossed out) Scalegorge Waterscape might be a good place to grow vegetables. What do the Vidyadhara elders think? I don't think it matters. If they suddenly get high blood pressure, no worries, I'll treat them. -- Imbibitor Lunae, Vidyadhara High Elder, covered in mud from working in the fields himself Even the famous commentator and Emanator of Abundance, Shuhu, couldn't help remarking: "The Xianzhou's mastery of the Power of Abundance has reached a point where even I want to go back to school and study it." For more details, tune in to the epic documentary, The Legend of Ling Yi. * Hates going to work. * The CP will most likely be Jing Yuan, with some chance of Yingxing. Prepublication blurb: Rachel transmigrated. Eighteen years later, as a freshman at Paperfold University, she suddenly discovered that she had embarked on the Path of Harmony. She could hear and alter the world's BGM, and gain different powers based on the music. This was perfect, except for one tiny problem: she was a student at Dreamweaver Academy. Cyber civil engineering, online construction work, but she's a karaoke queen...? Well, that might work. * Thanks to the song "Good Luck Is Here" before her interview, Rachel was accepted into Dreamweaver Academy's freshman internship program. On her first day doing construction work at the Dreamweaver border, Rachel saw a girl with white hair and a green dress running past her, hand in hand with a gray-haired Trailblazer. How lovely, that feeling of romance. Rachel instinctively wanted to set "Renai Circulation" as their soundtrack, but before she could do anything... She heard a Japanese song that sounded vaguely familiar. Before she could remember which song it was, the BGM switched to the next one, as if it were afraid she wouldn't get the meaning of the lyrics. "A new storm has appeared, how can we stand still and do nothing!" Rachel secretly followed them, and after a while saw the girl in the green dress transform into a giant mech. Rachel: ...! So the first song was actually the Kamen Rider theme song! There's only one truth! You're the Penacony stowaway! * Rachel stumbled into Penacony's massive conspiracy and scraped by to the end with the help of her BGM. Now it's time to wake everyone sleeping in Ena's Dream! Rachel: Um, actually, I have a plan that's, like, a tiny bit safer than yours. Under Miss Robin's curious gaze, she silently switched the BGM to a school bell, then began her performance: "How can you sleep at your age!" Who says spoken-word can't be adapted into rap! Sunday: I have no idea! How did they all suddenly wake up? * At last, the massive crisis was resolved, and Rachel returned to Paperfold University to continue her studies. Life without BGM was ordinary but lovely. Rachel continued her studies while hiding Sunday, the former head of the Family and current fugitive. Every so often, she'd use the Trailblazer to remotely send the Xianzhou a rendition of "How Lonely It Is to Be Invincible" and give them a buff. Life was carefree and easy. Until, at another year's freshman welcome party at Paperfold University, she saw Mr. Rick, the director renowned throughout the universe. The familiar BGM sounded once more, but... "An island full of bananas, banana-na-na~" "The love nest of the sleepy monkey, banana-na-na~" Rachel: ... Rachel: Huh?! Theme: Building a better home
