[Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS] Miss Spy Won't Get Hurt

Fujiki Yusaku hated rainy days, because on that rainy night, the other person left without looking back,

leaving behind only a casual apology.

So whenever it rained, he would hurry home and enter the world of VRAINS.

As long as he couldn't hear the raindrops, he wouldn't remember the promise the other person would never keep.

[When this is all over, I'll come back for you.]

Once again, a sudden downpour. The inexplicable frustration in his heart wouldn't wash away with the rain.

His Ignis partner pointed toward the bookstore ahead. A gentle, quiet woman stood there, looking up at the sky with concern.

When she saw him, she waved.

“Good afternoon. Could I share your umbrella and walk with you?”

“Big Sis~ Big Sis~ Yusaku's bullying me again, sob sob QAQ”

“Oh dear, poor thing. It's okay, little AI is a good boy. Be good and don't cry.” Though the woman couldn't actually touch the Ignis residing in the Duel Disk, she still reached out and gently soothed him as if patting his head.

“AI, shut up!” The cold-faced boy walked over and glared a warning. His partner immediately cowered back into the Duel Disk. But when the boy met the woman's smiling gaze, his voice softened despite himself. “I didn't. Don't listen to him.”

Just as she had kindly treated the Ignis, the woman reached out and pinched his cheek. His expression barely changed, but the atmosphere around him grew much more cheerful.

This story features melodramatic elements such as an older woman-younger man relationship and a fake sibling relationship.

The love interest will most likely be someone in the supporting cast. Whether the heroine has the Yamato Nadeshiko temperament is debatable.

The early part uses Sky Striker. I've never played this deck, and all my knowledge comes from watching Sky Striker players beat up my doglike machines.

Later, she'll switch to my favorite deck. You know, the one with the Normal Summon Doctor, and so on. I started this story just to write about that deck.

If you haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh!, don't worry. Duels won't take up too much space. V6's elaborate explanations make it far too easy to seem like I'm padding the word count, so we'll mainly focus on the story.
